Marinade for Black Diamond Steaks

Ok, guys/gals, I am in search of the marinade that is used with the Black Diamond Steaks. I bought one CD one time that had the Million recipes in it, it also had the recipe for the marinade but after trying it, was way off what actually is used. So, all you chef's out there... ... . what are the ingredients to this fantastic tastin marinade used for the Black Diamonds? I have been searching for a loooonnggg time for this recipe. Anyone have it?

I use this one on salmon, but imagine you could use it on beef too (hav'nt tried it yet on steaks. ) It's kinda' sweet if you like that avenue of flavour:



1/3 c real maple syrup

1/3 c apple juice

3 Tblsp soy sauce

3 Tblsp brown sugar

3 crushed garlic cloves

1/2 small onion



Enough marinade for about 2 lbs of your favourite carcass.

Earlier I checked Google websites and Groups. This must be a recipe that is pretty secret. People that supposedly used a recipe that was for Black Diamond Steak marinade said it's not even close.



If Google comes back empty, there is not much info on it anywhere.

How bad have you got it? I even tried getting a job at a local restaurant that served them , to see if I could find out how they were done... ... ... . turned out that, they supposedly came packaged that way. But, somewhere out there, someone knows, Was hoping they just drove a CTD...



I may have to buy one and send it to a lab and get it diagnosed with the ingredients..... lol

Answer:



BLACK DIAMOND STEAK



2 tbsp. oil

1/4 c. lite soy sauce

1/4 c. honey

2 tbsp. brown sugar

2 tbsp. vinegar

1 1/2 tsp. ginger

Pinch of garlic powder



Mix all ingredients together. Score steak on both sides. Marinate in above mixture 8 to 10 hours. Grill 6 to 8 minutes per side.
