Hi TDR fans,
1995 2500 TDR pretty much Stock and I'm 60.
I removed my Fuel Tank last Friday to do some preventive maintenance.
Feed line Hose Cracked, rusty steel Fuel lines and rear Tank Strap rusted through and just about into.
Not much fun removing the Tank by yourself so I don't want to do t again.
The Rubber Fuel lines connected to the tank with Barb fittings not Dorman fittings.
I bought the truck in 2002 so I don't have any information about the removal of the Dorman fittings.
Do the Marine line last a long time (LarryN's) or should I go with Stainless lines.
I plan on keeping this truck fo my forever.

You have to have flexible lines between the engine & frame, so the marine rubber line is needed there. Replacing the tubing along the frame is pretty much your option. If the tubes going into the tank canister are rusted through a lot of people have installed draw straws with success. If you don't have a hitch or an aux tank, raising the bed is easier than dropping the tank.

I did a post on this subject a few years ago. Do a search. I replaced all my steel lines and the prefilter with marine rubber lines and barb fittings. This eliminated about a dozen connections. Works great so far.

I didn't remove the tank. Jacked the bed up from the drivers side.

I replaced my return and supply line 10 years and 350K miles ago. I used fuel line from O'Reilly since all I could get at the time figuring I could get some "good stuff" and redo it later. Haven't had a problem since.

As to draw straws and dropping tanks/lifting beds, there is the sump option available now that does not require dropping the tank or lifting the bed. The return line can be put in the fill hose.
