I talked to Fleetguard this past week and they told me that the stock air filter flowed around 550 cfm. They told me that the BHAF flowed around 680 cfm and that the marine BHAF version flowed around 918 cfm. I asked about the smaller marine BHAF (19002 I believe) and surprisingly was told that it flowed roughly 450 cfm. Just some interesting numbers I thought I would pass along.

Anybody running the marine BHAF (19004 I think), what did you pay for it? I was quoted $138 at the local Cummins distrubuter.

Thanks,

Dan

I run the marine BHAF on my boat. The cummins dealer gets about $125 in Jacksonville. I don't think you would find one much cheaper. The one I'm running now is a Duralite #3924893 DC2590A. The marine has an expanded metal sleeve around it.

If I find a better price, i'll post it.

Marine BHAF

Just a thought, but maybe the marine air filter flows more air because it is using bigger media less dirt out on the water less protection for your engines on land?:{ Oo.

MARINE BHAF

My first new marine 6bt was in 1990. There was no air filter as such. What Cummins had until the mid 90's was a "silencer'. Simply a perforated sleeve over a throat that slid over the turbo inlet. I guess it would strain out the fiddler crabs and minnows... .
