Hey pastor bob, Flip, Piers, anybody know if marty was planning a trip here to the midwest this weekend??

I think, pretty sure I saw his truck a while ago. Got big rims, 6 spd, gauges, air rides. Was this him?? I left a note on the truck I hope it was.

I live just next to Fairfield Ia, were the Power Wagon Reunion is this weekend.

So was he comming this way and didn't tell me??

Thanks for the replys. Marty if your reading this and still at home, I now where your truck is complete with B. C. licsence plates!!

Michael

Michael, did you get your picture taken with the Marty's truck? Should have. Not often does one get to have a picture taken with someone famous... :D

No not yet. I hope to see him today. The power wagon rally ends today. They will have a parade. I will sure get a pic of his truck. Even if it ain't him, it was a sharp first gen dually.

Michael

Well, I got to meet Marty today. Helped him and another gentleman, Jim scoot an old Hemi from Marty's dodge to Jim's '03. Did I say it was a complete hemi? After that we had a very good, unfortunatly short, visit with Marty. Gotta try to get out to B. C. and meet back up with him, and everybody at PDR. Maybe next year at PDR's first gen day.

Marty, when you read this, I hope you had a good trip, thanks for taking time out to visit with me. Your welcome out here anytime!;)

One a side note, I met two nice guys that are members here. James, don't know his handle, and Paul- WM300 and Paul's wife. I hope she forgives me, I can't recall her name. Very nice people, talked with them for a while about old dodges, diesels, and maple syrup. Both James and Paul are East Coasters. Hopefully I will get to see them both next year at the power wagon ralley.

To Jim, Paul and your wife, I hope your trip home is safe, and hope you will return to Iowa next year!!

Michael

I'll get you some pics of the power wagon ralley. I'm warning you, I am not a photographer. Did not get any pics of marty's truck though. It looked too good. I could not do it ANY justice.

Hello Michael!

Made it home but my truck suffered a few casualties on route... numerous blown tires on my trailer & I toasted my Gear Vendor overdrive.

With the help of Jason in Spokane, Ted Piche in Lewiston & PDR for setting things up with Jason, I managed to remove the gear vendor & have a longer driveshaft built to get me home with my tail between my legs!

Piers & the PDR boys warned me that the GV wouldn't hold the P7100 pump & the twins but I figured what do they know! Ha Ha!

Great to meet you Michael... small world hey?

See you next year!

Time to update to a gooseneck then!! Did the GV go out just going down the road, or during a shift? The GV guys say that they are in high hp race cars, must be different then in a old diesel truck huh!:D

Yes it is indeed a small world. Never dreamed that I would meet three TDR members, two by chance in small town Fairfield IA!! Specially since one was you from western Canada, and two east coast guys!!

Hope to run in to you again sometime, maybe with a little more time for I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER chatting!!

Michael

Yep, Gear Vendor just went out while pulling a 10% grade hill with a combined weight just over 19,000lbs at 70mph & 65lbs of boost for no reason. :D :D

Actually I was just driving along & the truck had a slight vibration. I thought it might be a flat... one of my duals maybe but upon closer inspection the GV was dripping fluid & the seal had been pushed out the back as far as the yoke would alow. :{

I put a new seal in & flushed it out & refilled with oil & it seemed to fix it enough to get me to Spokane but she needs opening up & looking at before I'd put it back to use. I'm sending it to GV in California for rebuilding so if anyone needs one I might sell it.

They actually are a great unit if you're running less than 350hp... I miss it already!
