Thanks, TDR Staff

Come to the All Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA!

TiM Hotel Rooms....I cant go

I'm going to try and make it. At least to watch. Haven't bullet-proofed the transmission, yet, and the truck has too much work this summer to be breakin' it. :D

emailed tmacc and no reply yet.

Sorry guys, I've got to be a stand in coach for my daughters softball. I thought I had a clear schedule for the day. One of these days I'll make one of these events. Have fun.

Looking at the weather forcast for Sat.

Don't want to rain on anyones parade but there is a possibility of rain for the whole weekend around here. May I suggest a contingency plan. There is a truck race and show the following weekend at Capitol Raceway on Sunday the 9th. Let me know what you guys think. Merv

So how did it go? was anyone there?

The rain mostly kept up, only dampening us once, and later wetting the track just a bit. The sun came and went all day. The race promoter decided to rush the racing along as much as possible to finish the program before the rain arrived. But it was an otherwise good day for racing.

There were a few guys who showed up for test-n-tune, but didn't race. DHRA members Ted Kobi stopped in for a little while and Merv Demello came by to cheer, even though his trans was still broken. Gene Peters drove down from NJ to join DHRA and was the only one who competed. Unfortunately, he flubbed his launch and was knocked out in the first round. But that was enough to launch him into the points lead for DHRA Division 1! He was running consistent 13. 5-13. 7 E/T though, and his R/T was fairly consistent as well.

The attendance was somewhat disappointing, but, as they say, a bad day racing is still far better than the best day at the office, and this turned out to be a good day to race!

I was there as well, and had a blast. Did the test-n-tune thing, just to see what the truck could do. Now I want an auto transmission behind another 12V, just for racin'. :D And I wish I would've had my tools to turn the truck up just a little bit more. :D But it was still fun, and I'm looking forward to the next MDTDR event. See you guys later.
