Glad to see the subject is back on the Christmas tree. For a while there I thought I had the thread concerning the club logo. Didn't really need to revisit THAT!



I'll keep checking for more additions to the tree. Hope you all have a GREAT time today at the Holiday Party. Merry Christmas to everybody!!!!

I have been quiet on this round of "outrage" as you seemingly call it,but will no more as I am a bit confused with your recent actions. I can only wonder what you reply will be and hope you can try to answer this easy post which I will now add here. Now I will get to my questions on some of your recent rounds of rant... ... .

Look... . I'm just a regular nobody. I'm not personally offended by the display of the Confederate flag in general. Anybody has the right to fly it or can choose the American flag or another country's flag or a Nazi, KKK, Christian... whatever flag

If your "not" affended by the flag then why is there so much hatred being spilled in words here by you on it. There at this time in this country flags being flown everyday which offend me,but,I'd be willing to bet you have never heard me complain in public nor rant on them. Yes,I agree about your right to speak your mind and we had the graphic designer redo them to make a fit for everyone. I'll bet you didn't even know we have changed them once already since we originally made the design. You didn't need to fly the flags as they stand,you were offered a choice and your choice was to opt out. When you did you drew a false picture of what we,The Mason-Dixon TDC,stood for

and that becomes a problem for me. I will not allow you to continually paint me personally or my friends as people who believe in the things you claim we stand for. For a guy who just attended a few meets with us,do you really feel this is what we are about?.

I have family and friends that I would not want knowing I fly that flag on my truck. I care about how they feel and how EVERYONE feels when they see it displayed.

You were offered a choice and you took the low road out and didn't even allow us to make some that would suit your tastes. What burns my tail here is this..... Is this how you really feel and if so then why couldn't,wouldn't or didn't you speak up at Thunder In Muncie to me then and there about it?. And while I am at it,if this was a big heartache for you,you didn't need to stay with me. I mean if it,the chapter logo,causes you so much grief and is a embarrassment to your friends and family,then what are they going to think of you staying with a truck owner who flew them since this chapters beginning?. Somewhere lost in your rant was the good times you had a TiM,The Pre-Fall Show and the annual Fall Brawl show. I seem to remember a guy who didn't have a room for Fall Brawl and yet found a way to stay and enjoy our company. We had a meeting there,why didn't you speak up then,all the officers were there,you could have spoken up there,but,you didn't. Instead you decide upon taking potshots at us and trying to paint us,myself included,as people we are not.



Mike I will end with this and take it off the forums because this is where it needs to go. I,and probably me alone after all this,was the guy who tried to stand my ground with others in this chapter and defend your right to your choice,ask any of the other officers or a few members I chat with,they will tell you. HOWEVER,I can not do that anymore as I see you painting me as something I am not,nor have ever been. I do as much work for the community and charity as I do for this chapter and am not a bad person as you claim me to be. It ends here,if you can not apologize for what you have said or tried to do to my character and my friends here then I will be forced to do what I have to do. If you can not answer in a civil tone,here you know how to reach me outside of this forum,however I will accept no apology other then here on this board. You asked to opt out,it was done and your monies will be refunded as our chapter does not wish to take money from a man who considers us as promoting hatred. We have a GREAT group of fine people,from all walks of life who will do anything for each other when its needed to be done,I am sorry you couldn't see that... ... ... ... ... Andy

yeh, well you know how that goes. Some of us are good at fabricating, some of us aren't. I mean, for instance, you could have built a twin set up. However you chose to buy someone elses design since they fabricated theirs better. :-laf



I think you should know what I meant, but if not give me a call so I can clarify it.

I apologize for posting in such a way that I made it as though I was acusing anyone personally of being racist. That was not my intention.



I am a racist myself. Sorry to admit it but I have no control over how I feel about the way certain groups of people live and act, culturally. I don't like feeling that way and I don't like waving it in peoples faces.



The Confederate flag to a great many people is a symbol, not of US pride but of rebellion. Look at what's going on in the rest of the world. We (USA) are supposed to be examples to the rest of the world. We killed each other by the thousands over the inability to talk and negotiate. That's one of the things the Confederate flag stands for. Our inability to work things out without pulling out a gun. That's what goes on in the inner city every day.



As for your hospitality and willingness to share the room with a total stranger. . I thank you again. It's not something just anyone would do.



Why didn't I say anything before? Not sure. I bought the sticker from ICEMAN at the getogether in Frederick. I had it on with the Confed flag waving. I had a couple people question me about it. My wife and a very good friend. That's when I started feeling uneasy about it. I razored it off. One fellow at Kauffmans asked me why I cut it off... I told him it made me uneasy and I didn't want to be projecting the wrong image about my love for diesels.



Again... sorry for calling anyone a racist if that's what I did and I agree just be cause you fly it doesn't make you anything in particular. You may just like the design.

i've heard of several homemade setups having to go back to the drawing board
