Thanks to Scheid for hosting

Mason Dixon TDR

:D Well, let me the first to congratulate John and Andy for a awesome event. It was great to see everybody again and as always the food was fanastic. This was my first time around a dyno and what a hoot. I was very please w/ my numbers. Definitely have to do it again in the spring.

Looking foward to get the the chapter going. If anyone is inetrested in polo shirts w/ MDTDR on them, My neighbor is in the imbroidry(sp?) business. She does all of the stuff for our local high school. I'll get some pricing together and post it here.

Again,thanks, had a great time.

Tom

Sorry, I had to bail out early. Had great time maybe next time I can stay around longer and socialize. I was very impress with Kauffman Motorsports facilities and many thanks to them.

it was a very nice event . hope to have more soon. what did we have? 20 trucks or so? other than trying to figure out where all my "advertized" rear wheel hp is with the powermax3 and the edge ez on,, and the problems with the t/c saver,, i had a good time. i can see a few phone calls this week to the ones who sold me the add-ons:confused: :(

MD TDR Takes Off

I'll second that Tom. Thanks to President John, Andy and Kauffman Motorsports for a great event. John and Andy did a lot of legwork to make this happen. Kauffman Motorsports hosted the event and provided the dyno, that's entertainment. It's suprising how much torque and horsepower stock trucks can put to the dyno.

Great to see all the local TDR folks again and meet some new TDR folks. I am always impressed by the quality of people associated with the TDR. Wish I could have stayed longer but when you gotta go you gotta go.

Hopefully we can get together sometime next month.

Would care to elaborate what kind of problems you had? With the PM³ + EZ I am "guessing" it should have added about 140hp to 155hp? Don't put all your "hopes" in one dyno run, you could go over to another dyno and get compeltely different numbers. I am curious as to what problems you had on the T/C Saver?

MAN WHAT A BLAST!!!!!!!!

As I just now come swaggering in from our meet together I can say I had the time of my life,,It was great to meet everyone today and I hope that I can put names to all the faces the next time,sheesh,,Oasis-3(Cliff) was the last to show offically to dyno his new stock 2001. 5 H/O and Jeff Knight also dropped in,Total truck count was 24 I believe with 14 dyno runs,,Wiredawg has all the numbers but Cliffs and will get them posted soon with pics to follow,,For those who left you guys missed the Furd that showed to dyno(Ernies brothers new 2001 Furd) and the masterfull job that Cliffs truck did stock to stock with it still showing why we are best,,Hey Iceman, don't get to flustered its a day we can repeat and the little gliches you had are easily worked out,but the truck is a quality piece and you certainly need not hang your head,,I did have a chat with the Kauffman group after the last pull and the were all EXTREMELY pleased with the day and look forward to having us again,,Well my tired and seeing crooked eyes are off to bed,,Will drop in tommorrow and check what's got put up and what isn't,,Put my lowly little underpowered 12 valver to rest under cover as she did me a fine job today,,Not bad for a stock truck EH!!!!,Guess somebody had to keep all those other overvalved trucks in check,he he he,,Wonderfull day, great company and AWSOME trucks were the makings of a fun time for all,,Thanks to all who helped and brought food it was really something,,,,,,,Hammer,,,,,,Andy

Super Fun Time!

Fellow Rammers:

Viv and I can't remember when we had a better time. ;)

First, My hat's off to John and Andy for for putting all this together. We appreciate all your hard work in making this a success. Based on what Hammer said, I believe we had 16 folks dyno and 24 trucks show. :D

Second, the Kaufman folks really have a first class operation. They made our first exposure to the dyno educational and interesting. Also thanks for the shirts and hats. We're looking forward to coming back in the spring. ;D

Third, Thanks to Dale Heiges, Continental Motors, for providing a case of oil, oil filter, hats and shirts to the folks who ran on the dyno. This was a nice touch.

Fourth, it was great seeing my old buds and buddettes and meeting new ones. The food and visiting was great. I think we're on track to having a super chapter.

And, finally, and perhaps most important, we are forming the Mason-Dixon Chapter of the TDR. Yeehaww!

Guess I'll get back to my secretarial duties. I'm sitting here compiling meeting minutes, run times, distribution lists etc... look to have'em in your personal e-mail boxes in a while.

See y'all later,

Wiredawg

Initial Meet

I can't speak for Hammer, but I was totally pleased with the turn-out we had. It exceeded our expectations. I just got home from the campsite and my butt is dragging. I will post some pictures and "stuff" tomorrow after I relax. As Andy stated , Oasis-3 (Cliff) and Jerff Knight showed up later and gave the particulars to give to wiredawg. If we had a best of show award for trucks, I would have to say Oasis-3 would have been the hands down winner. He has one awesome ride. The only things not stock with his truck are the tires and TOTALLY AWSOME twin 5" stacks minus the muffler and resonator that those crazy PA aliens ate. Pictures of his truck will be in the pictures I post. I can't say it enough, how great it was to have this gathering of trucks, their owners, wives and chidren there. Be back on tomorrow. I will also post the numbers for a stock furd vs stoc CTD.

I almost forgot, the people at Kauffman Motorsports were the best possible hosts anyone could ask for. My hat (it was theirs before they gave it to me) is off to them (actually they gave evryone a hat). They kept everyone supplied with coffee and donuts and just the best attitude possible. KUDOS  to Kauffman Motorsports. :D :D :D :D :D :D

OOPS!

Yeah, I kind of forgot to mention Kaufman Motorsports and Dale Heiges, they were awesome too.

BTW, My numbers were 295/691 although the Dave, the dyno tech, said it was just a spike and that my third run was a better representation of my power, 284/584. I'll have to take his word for it, but I like the first set of number better. LOL Not too bad for a slush box equiped truck. :D PM for details.

Kat, I'm sure *Iceman* will jump in here, but he had more like 80hp. This is based on stock trucks pulling about 200hp as a base. I think that the tech may have had some problems getting the AT trucks to load w/o down shifting. He had to run mine up to 70mph before punching it to get it to load the dyno. I have 4. 10s and Don (Iceman) has 3. 54s, so maybe he should have run it up to 80mph before punching it. 'Course we sort of determined this after Don's truck was out of the shop. Any further thoughts Don? or Kat?

Big Fun

I was last to get to the dyno as I had to work :( But it was good to see Hammer and the FLAME RED Sport And John in his Big White Truck And Jeff and his Clean Truck I even got to drive Dale's truck with the TST Box :D Sit Down Shut Up and Hold On only on level 7 :D :D :D I had a great time hope to see you all again soon.

Cliff

P. S. if you want some 5" stacks let me know I will help make it happen. :p ;) :) :D

I ran on the dyno in stock trim ETH/DEE 216hp/ 448. 1ft# then I put in a Deisel Dynamis True Torque ( EZ ) and pulled 253. 7 hp / 629. 5 ft#. :D :D :D Not bad for just a little black box:cool:

Hey guys, Hammer,Cliff It was nice to see you guys again. John it was nice to meet you also. Hopefully next time I'll be able to come sooner. The pipes are a nice touch to your truck Cliff. I hope everyboby had a safe & trouble free trip home. Till next time. Jeff

This was the first get together me and my family have ever been to. To put it simply... ... great people, great food, and a great event!

The only drawback is now i have BOMB-itis:D

Looking forward to the next one.

Well,,After one of the best times of my life, meeting all the gang, the food, dyno runs, boss looking trucks and those positively breathtaking stacks that Cliff has(its all your fault Cliff, mine is first) I realized last nite I need more power,,Don't have enough gap over the too many valve trucks, gotta get to work, feel them nipping them at my heels,,Seriously folks,All I can say here is a multitude of thanks to all who came and everyone who participated,,To say the last few month's have been stressfull is putting it mildly,,Its certainly was great medicine for me to have the day we did and for me personally,to see all the smiles and people just plain having fun,,I'll also say "THANK YOU" to everyone for bearing with me as I try to stumble through lifes little bumps, its just been plain hard at times and Saturday certainly made it alot easier,,Too all those who came and offered their support to me and my family a special thanks is order,,Kinda makes me a little bleary eyed to know that even people who I've only chatted with thru the TDR can be so nice when they have only met me once,Thats what friendship is all about,,I seen some incredible trucks and the dyno was alot of fun,,When you all left and I got to talk to Dave(your dyno chauffer) I believe he had more fun than us,,The whole Kauffman group is really looking forward to our return and we are welcome at anytime,,Now for the numbers asked for,,My little 2 valves per cylinder, slightly wounded FLAME RED RATTLE BOX was a rollin',,Now some may have called it a setup and cry fowl play(think it was the guy who got the oil),but, in all seriousness I was NOT planning on pulling at all,,But I'm really glad I did so I can see how I stacked up against the rest,,My numbers off the dyno were as follows... ... . RUN #1=319. 5 HP and 787. 7 ft lbs of torque ..... RUN #2=323. 3 HP and 799. 5 ft lbs of torque ... ... RUN #3= 324. 5 HP and 812. 8 ft lbs of torque ,,,I know I do not stack up too well against the HEAVY HITTERS around BUT not bad for a home tuned ride,,My personal thanks to the Kauffman Motorsports gang(yes they are going to join even, still trying to help our cause) and my best friend Dale Heiges from Contiental Auto for making a fun event even better,,Oh,well kinda windy here,so its time for me to stop babbling,,Again THANKS TO ALL Andy

Update

Here is the link to the pictures:

Mason Dixon TDR Pictures

Hope it works, there have been some complaints about Photo Point links lately.

Here are the numbers for the last two dyno runs on a Dyno Jet:

1st Stock 2001 Ford Powerstroke

Run 1 185. 5 HP, 400. 7 Torque

Run 2 189. 1 HP, 359. 2 Torque

Run 3 215. 6 HP, 477. 2 Torque (this run was letting it shift through all gears and HP & Torque represent spikes at shift point, this accounts for the jump in figures)

Stock 2001. 5 ETH/DEE (except for the twin 5" stacks)

Run 1 217. 1 HP, 456. 9 Torque

Run 2 224. 3 HP, 470. 6 Torque (with silencer ring in)

Run 2 222. 8 HP, 467. 8 Torque (with silencer ring out)

This goes to show that the silencer ring doesn't have any effect on output except the decibal level.

Once agin I can't say how much fun this weekend was and I look forward to the next gathering.

A good time was had by all!!!! Special thanks to John and Andy for putting this together ... . The dyno runs were fun ... the food was great ... and the gals even had fun - we had high speed french braiding happening right next to the dyno!! Lisa and I sure enjoyed meeting all of you and seeing old friends.

After the wonderful day at Kaufman Motorsports ( thanks to all of you for allowing us to invade your facility ) we were off to the car cruise at the campground ... even though none of the Rams won a prize ... we sure looked good and ate a ton of ice cream!

Tom had all of us with our trailer running lights on all night ... Tom, Larry and I played Santa on Wes's rig ... . then Larry, Tom, and Tom ... decided to be elves late in the night and turn mine back on!!!

Look forward to seeing everyone again in Oct at Ron's!

My best dyno run was ... 287. 6 HP - 741. 8 TQ

Time to bump it up a bit for the next run ... .

John/Andy

Thanks for the fun. My wife and I always like meeting new people. I'm a little shy , so I bring her to do my talking. My numbers were 217. 4 HP and 425 TQ. Which has me a little suprised. I thought the STOCK ETH/DEE's would be about 10 HP higher than mine. Now it's time to start the bombing. Also Thanks to Kauffman motorsports, and Dale Heiges of Continental motors. Can't wait to do this again.
