Wedding bells for a great couple from CT!

Jannetty Racing 2nd annual Drag day track rental

Well I almost made it to bed without answering you but I knew I'd never sleep without at least a few words so time to let it fly...

Josh...

While I am certain you didn't want to rain on anyone you did me and that I can tell you with honesty. To say that your out of line is one way of putting it but it seems Scott has already addressed that. I do not understand why you feel like Kauffman's is trying to "limit" us as I can asure you it is not the case.

I take great exception to your comment about us making them money as you really don't have any idea on what is done with what we spend there. You see,Kauffman Motorsports, makes 0 dollars off us as we get the facility for free, shop, dyno and all the grounds. What money is made is split between the guys who strap and unstrap us after they deduct the bill for the dyno-bay cleaning(something he didn't do this year due to the very high cost to make it spotless. After all they have to have this area cleaned as its their lively hood). Ernie takes no money from what we pay them for his pocket. Each year our attendence numbers grow and the number of trucks we dyno goes up and up. After year one and 50 trucks in one day wiped us all out,Ernie was the one to offer me however many days we needed to run our shows. You really do not,nor never will, understand how much they put into our shows out of their pockets. I will offer to you a chance to see how much of what they do for us so you can better understand, all you need to do is make time to help me get the shows organized for us for the year. I am certain after you spend time chasing Doug and I around doing this you will have a much better understanding of what goes on and how much work they do for us at no cost.

I did hear about the other shops coming state of the art dyno and had it on my list of things to look into. One thing I also know about this shop and have heard it from many of their customers is how they enjoy not being entangled with all the TDR politics. They are very good at what they do and have alot of stout running rides, most of who do not post on any boards. I have been told way to many times to count that they desire to remain out of the politics that surrounds alot of the diesel boards and I have respected that. If they desire to do something with us,there is plenty of thier guys lurking who will tell us. I will make sure to check on this and see whats up.

I do understand that you feel Kauffman's is raining on your fun when in actuality they are not. They continue to work hand in hand with me to make this years shows even better than last and will continue to. The dually issue is one we have dealt with since our first show. It was me who made the decision on the outside tire removal as it will help to make the show move on at a better pace. You may see it as a negative change,I see it as turning the time we lost getting them lined up into time we can spend allowing more owners a chance to dyno. With more and more dually owners going to aftermarket rims and oversize tires which do not fit on the jet now it was only logical. As for the stacks and exhaust outside, well spend all day inside with me and the gang and see how you feel afterwards. I'll bet you didn't know all of us were sick the next week and most of us missed work due to it nor did you realize Ernie had his engineer there Sunday to see if there was a better way to exhaust the smoke from the stack owners. I don't think you realize that Ernie is as into what we do as we are.

I'll exit with this Josh and its a offer of a lifetime.

If you would like to see how much they do for us take the time and help Doug and I organize this years outings there. Then at Fall Brawl, spend both days inside the dyno bay with me and the gang. Maybe this will give you a little better insite on whats really going on and why things are being done the way they are. They are being done not to rain on our parade, instead,to make our shows better each year. This is Scotts show and deal all I was asked was to make it happen which I am and would for any of the vendors who support this chapter. Bring on the warmth, sunshine and lots of trucks to enjoy... ... Andy

andy, i never doubt what all you, doug and the guys at kauffmans do for us, for all that i am greatful bc we wouldnt have a club or these great events without what everyone does, thankyou.

I do understand more than you think, i do know much of what goes on which i am sure you will not believe me since i am not standing in the bay with you or anyone or helping strap up trucks. which on the other hand i would be glad to help in any way that i could but i have never heard any whisper of the word help, so that falls on you and whoever else organizes these events. i am sure that anyone (me included)

would be glad to lend a hand, as i do not have much time with all that i am involved in i will gladly do whatever i can, so all you or anyone has to do is ask. On a great note, Andy thank you for truely seeing the meaning of my post!! i was merely bringing up the other shop for thought for the future as maybe a way that our club could spread out and begin to grow by reaching another area, it wasnt meant as a competitor to scott, i think scott is a great guy and has a great future as a performance diesel shop. last night after i read the replies and thought about this, i probably should have brought this up to you in a pm and the other event coordinators and then brought it to the board. however i think that is how all of our events should be run but i am aware that they are not. they are ideas from a single person or persons then it is posted saying this is when and where, there is never a vote or anything which could be an idea to use in the future. not having a vote is probably a good thing to the fact that it cuts back on confusion, hassel, and headaches for mainly you, so i understand that aspect.

All that was meant by my post was to see if there was any interest in seeking out other places to possibly have an event, not leavning kauffmans but maybe having another event with other options and opportunities, that is all. i sincerely hope that scott has a great show, and that no one gets sick this year do to so many smoke outs. i am done, never meant anything by a harmless post, sorry to all.

the anouncement of the new dyno opening that josh was refering to came from me. i was visiting antrim and talking with the owner about our club, events we have etc. like andy say's,,richard, the owner is not into all the politics etc involved with the tdr but is probably the most excited person about diesels i have ever talked to.

we talked about the possibility of him hosting a show for our group. he is very excited about the idea and offered to have his parts dept open,,use of a bay, open a parking lot for burnout contest etc.

of course we would all have to meet and work out all the details.

i have mentioned the idea to several of members to get feedback.

i have also tried calling and pm'ing you andy,,but you haven't replied.

the communication between the group officals needs alot of work. i try to get input from you guys on anything i do etc but seems like you all just ignore me.

i have done alot of behind the scene work to keep our club somewhat organized and to try and better ourselves. it's real hard when you are dealing with people who don't communicate but i keep doing it because the members of our club are a great bunch of people.

scott,,i am sorry for bringing this up on your event anouncement but i had to let you all know where josh got his info.

when i talked with antrim i didn't even think that there may be an issue with us having a show at one of your competitor's place.

you are right,,this is your show, not a mdtdc event and you can run it the way you want.

andy,, i do know what is involved in making a event like our fall brawl happen and i also know about all the issues that ernie has to deal with to have us there. i have also talked with dave(dyno operator) a few times.

i appreciate all ernie has done for our group over the past few years but i get the feeling that we are sometimes more bother to them than it is worth to them.

i really cant say anything bad about ernie and his gang. if i didn't like the way i was treated there i don't think i would have returned there to dyno. i've dyno'ed my truck about 50 times there. some at events and few times renting the dyno for an hour.

basically,,i'm not anouncing the new dyno at antrim because i don't like ernies place or the way he runs it i was just letting people know that we could try another place to see how it is.

most of the members of our chapter know that i don't make decisions on club issues because of my personal preference but for what i think is best for the whole group.

whether you think my ideas are right or wrong there is no way to address them other than to COMMUNICATE

i am flexible and will listen. i can take it if i'm proven wrong and i will let you know when i think you are wrong.

again,,

sorry scott for inturupting your event posting

This is an event for MY customers and friends and Diesel Nuts in general. Just come, enjoy yourselfs, have some food and bench race if thats all ya want to do, But if ya chose to dyno you will have to abide by Kauffmans rules. I am Letting ANDY handle the show, but i had to speak my peace

Well stated, Scott.

And well stated, Andy, as well.

ill definately be at this one! need to get te truck dynoed, lots of new goodies since last dyno! andy - let me know whats needed to make this event happen!

wes

I will be there if I do not have to work, I can never tell this far in advance. I will bring whatever you need in the way of food or drinks if I can make it, just let me know whats needed, I brought 10lbs hotdogs and sausages for the brawl but anything you need is ok with me.

Need Help? I will volunteer for helping with the dyno, I have enjoyed these events and look forward to attending just to be around other diesel nuts, and the smoke is way kool yea I like tire smoke too, must be something that happened in my childhood.

If time allows I want to dyno my truck to see how much a stock 98 12 valve can do ;) I have never had my truck on a dyno, so Andy to be fair you really should let me dyno and then guess  Well sounds fair too me.

To Andy, Doug the Kauffmans and ALL the people who put their time and efforts into these meets, You guys really do a great job and deserve a round of applause and I thank you. And RDP, thanks for the invite as I too am a Diesel nut.

George

I might be able to make this one as I have some new toys on there way... . Oo.

Also, is there anyone that needs extra tires for like burnouts or trailers? They are 265/75/16 ( 4 ea. ) and 285/75/16 ( 4 ea. ) Tread is still 4-6 / 32nd. If anyone is in need of something like this, ( getting ready for the Burnout contest in Indy? ) let me know, they are free for those who ask.

Hey all. I am marking this one on my calendar and am gonna try to make it for sure. I haven't seen some you guys in a long time and it'll be great to catch up and see what ya got going on. Still hate having to show up in a Subaru WRX, but i am saving my pennies and hopefully in a year or so i'll be ready to get another cummins. Heck who knows maybe if the weather is nice i'll cruise up in my 66 Chevy stepside. Be ready Hammer and PRORAM i think when the time comes i am gonna put you 2 on the job to find me a good used RAM. See everybody in April.

Hope to see you Larry. And, while it's not a diesel, NO need to be ashamed at the WRX - they're hot little cars. Are you gonna dyno it?

Scott

those WRX's are all wheel drive, right? i dont think kauffmans is equiped to dyno all wheel vechicles... . maybe im wrong?

Thanks alot Doug, but the timing is a little off!!! If i brought a truck home now i think it would be safe to say i'd get shot!!! About a year or so from now hopefully i'll be looking!! Saving my pennies!!

I have wanted to dyno it. It is all wheel drive and Kauffmans is not set up for all wheel drive cars. It is fun to drive, but it sure ain't no Cummins Dodge. I'd rather be cummin than strokin!!!

You're right. I forgot all about that they were AWD. It's OK Larry, c'mon anyway - we still luv ya! :D :-laf

Important info on show

Due to unforseen and uncontrolable events we (RDP) are going to have to pull out of the show. Andy is contemplating keeping the show alive but thats his decision. This is hard for me but it can't be avoided.

I appoligize to all.
