Jannetty Racing 2nd annual Drag day track rental

The final word is there is no final word. Let me explain,Scott was supposed to do the work and make us a set of tubes to allow you stack equipped owners to dyno. The cost for the piping was to come out of the club funds so we would have them for our shows. With his sudden departure now we are left high and dry and have to fend for ourselves so you guys can roll the jet. There are club members who are on it and working very diligently to help us out with this problem and it may be solved by the show. Ernie wants us to have all the exhaust vented outside so we have to try and get something fixed up to do that. So I'll keep you posted as soon as we come up with a fix that will get us through. I do know Will has gotten us some extra piping, which is a tad bigger than the stuff Ernie has and it may slide over the stacks.

A question for you owners who have stacks...

I know it may be a pain but how many of you who have them have the ability to loosen the tops and slide them up so we could slip the tubes over the bottoms like we did with Jetpilots former Slick Black Bottle Rocket. Its just a idea and I do realize it may be a inconvience but they wil provide the tools to do this if you can do it. The day we did that Kevin took the stack tops off and we slid the tubes over the bottoms and ran them out the tailgate outside.

At any rate,we are trying and hope to have a way for stack equipped owners to roll as I do not want to leave those owners out, just bear with us..... Andy

Why not?

It works. Just need a bunch of large loose fittings, 90's and whatever and some large dia. hose or PVC pipe.

Yes, I guess it will work, I just never thought of it. Sometimes the anwser is right in front of you but you just cant see it. Thats how I feel now... . :)

Stacks

I will take my stacks off like Kevin did with Doug's old truck. It is my understanding that the PVC pipe got a little soft and flimsy after F8ldose's runs. I don't think they will hold up to too many runs. We would have to have a couple of sets and alternate them.

Doug

Actually I have thought about that for a while now. They used to use PVC pipes on our hoses and dyno ends at my work place because they were cheap. One of the major drawbacks was the heat issue and the softness. I had not ruled it out and the only way I see it working is by alternating trucks. The PVC will have to be long enough to reach the tailigate so they can attach the tubes there. It will take 2-45 degree,2-90 degree,2 long pieces of straight tubing to do it and a couple of small rachet straps to keep them tied down. . Attach the 90's to a small piece of straight, then use the 45's to route the straight to the bed floor where the pipes can be attached. The problem is heat and we would have to stagger the stack guys to make it work.

To do it right have some help for the guy before he enters the bay and slide the tubes over and tie them down. That way when he pulled in all we would need to do is put the metal extensions on the end and dyno. Then when he is done, pull out, give them to the next stack guy,tie them up and they should be ok for the next rip. Not sure how they would hold up but we could get the stuff and try. Any thoughts... ... . Andy

A Note Of Change From Our Members...

A New Name For The Show Has Been Suggested...

The show will be called... "Mason-Dixon Turbo Diesel Club's Spring Fling".

We,The Mason-Dixon TDC...

Have no more affiliation with "Renegade Diesel Performance" and do not want the show to have any ties to them either, thus the name change. This show will be a annual event happening in the early spring and has a vendor selected for next year already. We have high hopes this will become a must attend event for all each springtime. So for those who come to enjoy the fun this year, yes we had a setback, but, the show will go on and we will make it the barnburner to build on for next year... ... ... ... Andy

Look-out Dockboy

Here is a spy photo of Lloyd with his new secret weapon to beat Dockboy. Says he figures not dragging those extra two tires is good for at least 50hp!

Rumor has it that Lloyd is running a TST PMCR, stacked with a BDDL AND and new Quad box :--) . Mind you that is just a rumor, but Lloyd would not pop the hood nor confirm or deny the "rumor".

So how's THAT combo working for you, Lloyd? I've been kind of curious about that myself. :D By the way, my BDDL works REALLY good in extreme mode, now. So well, in fact, I don't run it there, cause I want to hang on to the transmission a little longer. :D
