I ordered the Massdiesel Transmission replacement line with the sender port in it the last part of February, my account was charged March 1, for the part.

How long did take for those who ordered that line to get it and what type of shipping was used?

It has been three weeks since I ordered the line and 13 days since my account was charged for it, I just don't know what type of shipping Massdiesel uses for this part.

If they send by United States Postal Service then I know it will take a while as we have some of the worst mail service where I am at right now.

Thanks

I'd go to the web site, call the toll free number and ask when it was sent and the ups tracking number. They're a pretty solid company and I haven't heard anything negative about them. -----RJ

Thats what I was looking for, if it was shipped by the USPS, then I know it is going to take a while, I am in Homestead, Florida due to work right now and the postal service in Homestead and Miami is the worst I have ever delt with.

I will give another week then I will call them.

Thanks

Yeah if I find something is taking longer than usual, I call the place. When I ordered my steering box from PSC, they had shipped it to my old address in Alaska

My line took several weeks to ship also. Be careful not to overtighten the fittings as they will leak if too tight :( I sent back the originals as a core and they were supposed to send back a new section for me and never did. I was able to fix it without the new line. I think they are a good shop, they just seem very busy and may have not sent it. I'd call them and double check... .

My trans line showed up today, UPS messed up the first shipping, UPS even messed up the overnight shipping in they failed to deliver on Monday.

At any rate, besides not to overtighten the fittings, what else should I look for?

How much trans fluid will I lose, I have about 5 1/2 quarts of new trans fluid, will that be enough?

I did not lose even a quart. Just make the change while the engine/trans is cool and everything has had time to drain down. Be sure to have the line pre-formed and the fitting with the sender lined up and tightened before you remove the old line. Then you can make the swap quickly.

Well I put on the new line this morning, kind of a pain to get the little black plastic line clip back on, lost about a little over half a quart of Redline C+ trans fluid while changing out the line.

Gauge does react quicker and moves up and down the temp scale faster then with the sending unit in the right side port on the transmission.

No leaks and was careful not to over tighten the fittings.

Would have been much better if I had a lift to put the truck on.

Over all nice product.

Just an update on this MassDiesel Transmission Line, I went for a ride into town and the trans temp gauge really does react different, I have to agree if you are in a port on the side or rear of the transmission, you are only reading the temperature of the case and not the fluid.

Hats off to MassDiesel, UPS screwed up the shipping completely on the first go around, the second shipping of the line UPS was even late delivering that line, MassDiesel shipped overnight on a Friday so the line should have arrived on Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday, nothing MassDiesel could have done as it was completely a UPS screw up.

MassDiesel paid for the overnight shipping, I offered to split the cost of the overnight shipping and they would have none of that.

I highly recommend MassDiesel as a high quality vendor with outstanding customer service. I would do business with them without hesitation.

Thank you MassDiesel for the high quality product and the great customer service.

Couple of comments here... I sell pacbrake's to a lot of TDR members... a good vendor shouldn't charge your account until the item is ready to ship... We always ship UPS ground because we can track it..... However to AK and HI, that's only next day air or second day air... so on those customers we ship USPS and insure the items and track them... . requesting a receipt... . I don't think we've ever had a shipment take more than 6 working days to any location in the US.....

You should now be able to do UPS ground to some addresses in AK. They just started Jan 1 and it does not go to all of AK, but to most. Have a look next time you try to ship.

Massdiesel is a one man operation. Scott is VERY buisy. great guy to do buisness with! he really knows his s#!t when it comes to our trucks! he has also used UPS when shipping parts to me... . james
