Massive Blow By & Rebuild Ideas

Yes I know that almost no oil use is weird but I have seen it before on high mileage engines, a weak (but not broke) compression rings on one cylinder is the cause. at this time blow by is a lot less with the 5w40, the motor really seems to like the synthetic even at 300k miles. I really believe that the Lucus oil additive caused a huge amount of the blow by. since the oil change, engine temps down, mileage up over 2 mpg, more power on stock settings.
back to rebuild
so stock pistons (from cummins)
cam, valve springs, tappets,

Any engine I've ever rebuilt either gas or diesel I have always installed a new oil pump. I know people will say the Cummins oil pumps are virtually bullet proof but everything has a service life. With all the money your going to invest, it would not be worth the risk IMO to put a pump back on a new engine with that many miles.

Stock Pistons
Hamilton Cam, talk to Zack he has use specific grinds
90-110# valve springs and push rods are stronger than OEM
Tappets
Injectors
Oil Pump
Water Pump
Thermostat
Hoses

One would think, but it's looking like my rebuild is due to a faulty oil pump casting. Thou it's still unclear if the pump was the initial or subsequent failure.
