My KDP hadn't backed out at all! Should be running tomorrow. Got my 4" magnaflow in today.

Anyone else get depressed when their truck is in the shop.

Our 05 is going in - injector knock, and transmission is acting up:mad:

did I mention your white truck sold me on another 12v ;)

:p

you'll get 'em on the road again! having multiple trucks is like having multiple girls... the amount of attention you have to pay them goes up exponentially!!!!

And they all want the attention right now! Same amount I've put into repairs, i could have paid it off. Don't get me wrong, it's been a fantastic truck - and for the most part, held up to me driving it.

I would check turbo bearings. Diesel cleans out sludge real good, but boils off at high temp.

Bearings were fine, but the seals were apparently blown out. I need to call Paul @htt and see what he thinks. The number 6 injector was stuck on WFO. Everything else looked OK.

I feel like charging the dealer with extortion! For one injector, a factory replacement turbo, engine flush and oil change they are wanting $4800!!! The parts/labor on the one injector alone was over $900. I understand that some pieces can be spendy, but this is insanity. I could pick a used motor out of a wrecked truck and save myself a good chunk. #@$%!

Damn, there's your fireworks...

I remember reading a post on here of a guy who had an injector stick open on him and he drove almost 200 miles because his oil level was still on the dipstick, not knowing that he was running pretty much diesel for lubricant. His motor was fine and the dealer replaced an injector and sent him on his way. Of course he was nervous about having run his truck 200 miles with diesel in his crankcase, but it was still running fine he said...

Tough engines and it sounds like you caught it quickly...

I don't know if you have had the work done yet, but we have an awesome dealer out in East Texas that I am sure could save you a lot of money. Call Jim 903-473-1144 Performance Diesel.

I know Jim, but I'll be getting the truck tomorrow from the dealer and doing the work myself. Thanks for the heads up though. These dealers have to get some of this pricing under control:mad:
