Master Brake Controller works Great!!

Got the unit yesterday and realized i ordered the wrong d@mn color :{ Oh well, won't really matter as you won't see it that much. I'm thinking to myself if it works as well as you all are saying, dad is going to want one, and it will match his first gen just fine. Then i can order the correct color and trade him. Then I go to install it and they sent me the wrong T fitting. The fitting they sent me is much larger than the threads in my master cylinder . I guess i will call them tomorrow and see what is up. It appears that they are sending a 90 degree hard line in place of the rubber hosein the instructions to adapt the pressure sensor. Not sure if i like the idea of the sensor hanging on that line with no support. Hope that i can install the sensor direct to the T, like Klenger did, instead of using the line. Won't know that untill i get the correct T. Major bummer, i really wanted to test the unit this weekend on my trip. Now i have to use the d@mn tekonsha #@$%!

OK, who has the best price on the brake smart? I'm getting ready to go on an over 6,000 mile trip. New engine in truck new paint job new camper pulling a 3 axle fully loaded race car trailer, I figure I might as well put the best brake controller I can in it. I have a new Technosha but this Brake smart sounds so much better.

How can we petition them as TDR members to get the Boost and EGT module on the market? Organize a group purchase? Start a poll?

Notice their ad on the top of TDR yesterday, don't know how long it has been there, but maybe they are looking at us as a serious market. Maybe they will get the EGT and Boost module done soon. Seems like the a person could use the same pressure transducer that they use for the brakes, for fuel pressure or boost.

Brakesmart Brake Controller

Well Friday eve my brother stopped by and we got it installed. I have pull a few trailers since. That brake smart is soooooo nice they should come with trailer tow package on all trucks. There a bit pricey but well worth every penny in my book.

I installed one yesterday. Went without a hitch and works great. I had one installed on my last truck and fell in love with it.



They are working on a Exaust Gas Temp and Boost upgrade which will read out on the display. I mounted my new on on the dash awaiting the upgrade.

Yes and you can operate the "Manual" button all the way and it will self calibrate. The system tells you many things like your battery voltage is low and when you loose or gain a connection to a trailer. It also senses how many axels you have and automatically adjusts to that.



I am buying a new trailer with Electric over hydraulics and it senses that and operates with that function.



Bottom line the unit is operated by a microprocessor and can be programmed in the future to do many things.

Sounds like the perfect controller for someone like me, who goes from trailer to trailer of all different size and weight pretty often. That's the part I hate about most of the other controllers, dialing in the controller everytime you hook up a trailer. Or worse when we're hauling hay out of the field and making 10mi trips. You have to adjust the brakes each time you hit the road.
