Master Cylinder mega-problem

So I'm upgrading/replacing my brake system. master cylinder, booster, braided lines, rotors, drums. I pulled off my old master and placed it next to my new Mopar one.



I said to myself well, I went to the dodge dealer and he asked for my VIN before he could get my part. So that indicates there are two available. I get the new one, install it, bleed it and get ready to put the lines back into the M/C and of course they don't fit. One thread for the front brakes and another size thread for the back brakes. Now the brakes lines going down always looked a little askew. But know I'm thinking the past owner "made it this one fit". Any ideas. I would like to correct this situation. Does anybody have any pictures of what the correct setup looks like.

Now that its daylight. Is it possible that lines on the bottom are reversed? Obviously they can't be going into the m/c but the lower ones really look like they are wrong.

On my truck the front brakes (this is the larger partation of the M/C) goes to the rear fitting on the P/ valve.

your brake lines past the p/valve going down are somewhat straight. Mine look like they are bent on an odd angle. Unless of course they were added after the fact.

From the other angle they are not straight. I couldn't get a good shot that way. To dark with the rain we are having today.



I was wondering why I lost my cruise yesterday. The cable came loose from the mounting bracket. I just noticed it in the second pic. LOL

Problem Solved

Phil, I just noticed in your pic that you don't have the brass fittings like I do. So I ran outside and unscrewed them. My fittings went right in.
