Matching internal colors. (never mind I'm an idiot)

I searched around and I will find a place which has the paint. Sorry for the noise.

I have decided to move my guages to the pillar pod I had originaly purchased. Is there a place on the web to get matched paint for the interior. DC told me to go to a local Auto body shop.

Thanks,

Ira

I got the interior color code off the glove box lid and took it down to an automotive paint shop. This is not a body shop where they paint cars it is the store where the body shops buy their paint. I also bought a disposable aerosol sprayer that worked great at the same place. Good luck with your mods.

Ira! Change Dealers I got them to order paint for my 2001. I think it was $8. 95 for a small can. :D Norm

YEA DC SUCKS!!!

Get this,

I called another dealer in the area. One who is known to give TDR discounts and I figured would know what I am doing.

"We have it but can't sell it to you!!!" Apparently the Bay Area Air Quality Management will not allow it's sale? The parts guy said to go outside of the Bay Area and I could get it. So I guess I will have to order it and have it shipped?

What a crock. Meanwhile I can go buy cases of spray paint from my local hardware store and paint the air...

 :(

I am taking my factory pillar to Finishmaster today. The manager at the collision center at the dealership gave me their number because they supply their paint. I have to take a piece to them and they will match it. I'm sure there is a location near you if you can't find a good match.

Found it.

For those in the Bay Area.

San Leandro Color fixed me right up.

They had a book of 1999 Chrysler colors and matched it. They had to mix it which cost me a bit more. $15 for a can but that is not bad. I painted the tip of the original pillar before I left the store and... matched perfect!!!

Sorry for all the noise,

Ira
