I ordered the G-Tech porta-dyno from Geno's. It should arrive on Thursday. Given the HP numbers what is the formula for calculating torque? The G-tech does not do that as far as I know. TIA
Therefore, if you use a factor of 2. 14 to convert BHP to torque, you assume that the BHP reading was taken at 2454 RPM (5252/2. 14). Personally, instead of using a universal fudge factor of 2. 14, I'd try to get an instantaneous tach reading of RPM to go with an instantaneous BHP reading and plug it in the formula above if I wanted an accurate torque measurement. If, on the other hand, all the G-Tech gives you is one average BHP reading for the "pull", I'd make the pull in one gear, then average the starting and ending RPM for the "pull" and use that number in the formula above.
