Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Hunting Dogs

Maybe a RAM with a Duramax

Got the fever to buy a new bow almost dead set on a bow tech 82nd for the speed. just wondering what all the other member shoot/ like

Can't help you on either of those two, but here is a website with alot of info on bow selections/terminology etc. You might also want to check out Diamond bows by Bowtech. I'm not sure of the model comparison there but I believe the Diamonds are chaeper. I shoot a 14 year old Proline myself.

I have been shooting tournaments and hunting for about 18 years. I have used Browning, High country, and Matthews. All Major companies produce good products. I am presently shooting my second Matthews. I have looked at the Bowtechs and they seem to be a solid well made bow. After trying many brands and cams, I prefer the single cam. It is easier to tune and keep tuned.

Just bought a new DXT, and wow, what a bow. My old Legacy was nice, but the DXT is fast, light, and extremely quite. Single cam bows are a lot simpler and smoother I think. Mathews warranty's are awesome too. I shot a Bowtech and it was louder and wasn't as forgiving, but they shoot faster too. I think they're a good bow to though.

I have always used Martin. I need to get mine out it has been a while. Whats the opinion on a new string, mine has been sitting for about 1 1/2 years without a shot.

I'm shooting an Elite GTO right now and am real happy with. You just have to play with all you can and pick which one feels and shoots best.

I've been bowhunting for 30 years and it seems like I have own every brand there is. BY far there is not a Bow out there better than a Mathews. trust me spend the money, Its worth it. Bow-tech in my opinion is second best to Mathews. Bow-Tech Bows are loud for Hunting, You will need to tweak the noise. I shoot everyday with a neighbor that has a Diamond and we have finally got it to quiet down, after a lot of work.

My opinion is strickly Hunting, Not Target shooting or competition. And of course its just a opinion just like others that might disagree with me. Good Luck!

I just purchased a BowTech TomKat. It replaced an OLD Fred Bear. There are better ones out there, but this one will do EVERYTHING I need it to do. I had actually commited to buy a new DXT, but saw one with a broken limb... Kinda scared me away from that. The web-site that PSU-CE posted is actually a VARY good site. Has alot of un-biased information. JMO.
