Has anyone ever done any real research on this, they say to stay below 1250 for continuous use... ... ... . Ok towing up a mountain, do this with the right foot. What about us that don't tow and are just stepping it up, if we make a dead stop run should we fuel for 1250/1300/1400... . I have seen 1450 and pegged past for 2 gears but the motor isn't hurt. If it will safely handle 1400 for the time it takes 350 HP to get to 100 then I'll go for that or is it just a guess, also I know there different but a hard running Turbo Gas Motor will run 1600-1800 EGT's on a pass. I'm hoping Piers, Joe D. guys like that will chime in here and tell us what they do or see during their research.
