Max ETG's

I wan't to know what the max ETG that you can reach. Mine seems to be to high for what I have in the truck. So I am curious to see what the highest temp's the rest of yall can get. Try to give unloaded ETG under full power. I can hit 1600 easly on Comp 5-5 with DDII and HX35 and factory exhaust. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Eric,

I don't know much about the Comp. but if that is the maximum setting, then that temp. is probably about right. I can hit around 1500 with mine and the Comp. probably fuels more than my set-up does. How much boost are you getting. Also, 4" exhaust would probably help some.

When I was running PDR HX35 with the wastegate only set to 35 psi I could peg my 1600° pyro at the strip. When I moved to the KwikKurt HX40 I could get upto 1600° ocasionally but never past it. Not sure what my temps will be with the b1 as I haven't recieved it yet.



What kinda of boost are you pushing?

I am pusing 35-38 and Kat are you still running the stock exhaust?? And do you think 1600 will hurt the engine if you hit it every once and a while at the drag strip ?

No I am not running stock exhaust... ... I have a JRE 4" exhaust that I bought "first" for the sound. Well will that temp hurt the engine? I don't think so as long as its for very short short times, least it hasn't in my case. I have about 30 passes at the drag strip..... and prolly 15 hard dynos.

Whatever happened to your possible VP44 problem? Did you get a new VP44? If so, did it get rid of the problem?
