Anyone know what the max HP/TQ #'s are for the stock 6-Speed Clutch? Anyone with DD TT box + injectors on the Stock 6 Speed Clutch. Results? See my sig for current BOMBS, 4" Jardine on the way Thanks to wwcd2.com

I don't believe it myself but I am running 115 hp injectors and a PowerMax3. I am confident that I am in the 350+ rwhp range based on dyno testing other combination. THE STOCK CLUTCH HOLDS.

Many have reported that with even slight bombs their six speed slipped badly. I don't know I am just luck or what.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure of my numbers, but I recall reading that there isn't a lot of headroom to increase power with regards to the clutch. On a 245hp engine, the clutch will handle something like 285-300hp.

Mine started to slip under hard acceleration in high gear with an EZ and DDII's. The southbend clutch I just put in took care of this.

There seems to be quite a bit of variation between trucks.

I've got DD2s, TTPM (DD's EZ), a 4" and AFE - my clutch has only slipped when I do a sloppy change while towing my trailer (usually 5/6). Otherwise it doesn't slip but it is definitely on the edge. I'm guessing a wee bit more than 300 RWHP with this setup.

When the the FedEx guys stop dropping my clutch and my mechanic stops burning my clutch in fires I WILL have my SBC Con OFe in and that'll be the end of clutch slipping worries.

Kiwi - on his third clutch without installing any of them.

Thanks to SBC.

Mine held with just 275 injectors and a boost module but when I add the VA it would then slip in 5 and 6 gears.

I was going to bring up the same specification that jerryrigg did. Given an input torque rating of only 550 lbs. for the NV5600, and I had been the system engineer, I would have opted for a flimsy clutch as well. What happened to the original torque rating this transmission was suppose to have and how are they managing the increased torque with the third generation?
