Haven't been here for some time, so I figured I'd just ask outright. What is the most power a guy can make with a intercooled 92-93 reliably. Also curious how many have swapped to NV4500's or NV5600's and all the details it entails. Thanks in advance.

That is a question I've asked recently myself.

It seems the general consensus is about 300RWHP. That seems to be the limitations on our trucks, plus or minus.

There is one fellow who turned 271 HP at Dyno Days on the BD dyno.

I just did 225. 2 HP, but think that either the run was not right or I've got something "mis-adjusted".

BTW, my torque figure was 737 lb/ft at 1480 RPM...

that makes me think something was wacky on the run. My run was shutdown at 2200 RPM.

I can't speak for nascar mark, who made the 271 but my truck is totally street pleasant to drive without being a PITA to handle.

Its also a bit of a surprise to the odd Ford or Chev if they don't pay attention. ;) ;)

Bob.

I think we have just as much potential as the other versions of this engine but nobody is doing the research on our lower pressure fuel system to really flow alot of fuel!!

We need alot bigger injectors, deliveryvalves, etc.

There doesn't seem to be interest in pioneering research in the venders as they do with other years. We represent a mutch smaller market. Our trucks are worth alot less money, and we are an older slower driving ;) contented :D and not so apt to B. O. M. B the soot out of our beloved firstgens!!

Flameon!!:D :D :D
