Anyone know at what point a good 4" exhaust becomes an issue as far as trying to make power. Guess I am wondering at what point you need a 5" system. Please chime in with what you have and what you like.

I seem to remember reading that a properly set up 4 inch exhaust is good for over 700HP. So basiclly you don't need anything bigger, you just want it!!

I have herd the 5" may lower EGTs but is a lot louder. I will have to keep my 4". I don't plan on making more than 550hp and don't want to bother the naborhood.

Can you even fit 5in between the t-case and the frame? My 4 in downpipe is tight. . as for 5in noise, its a much deeper tone, not necessarily louder. From what i've heard 5in is more tolerable because it doesn't cackle as much.

807 HP with 4" here. I realy think that if 5" where needed, it would need 5" out of the turbo and a couple feet past it. The hottest point is were you have the most expansion of gases.

Now you guys are really screwing with me!! I had the same thoughts about the 5" being low but not louder. Can anyone else confirm this?
