I was wondering what is the max safe boost that an HY-35 can put out?

I am installing a comp box and DD II injectors soon and I will be regulating the boost pressure that the waste-gate actuator will see to achieve the "max safe boost" level.

I know that the HY-35 will not keep the EGTs in check but this will have to do until I save for the PDR 40

TIA

Brian

I can hit 34 PSI here at 5000 ft. elevation without thinking about it with my DD3's and Comp. I too am saving for the elusive PDR HX-40.

Oh, and my EGT's get outta hand real quick... like 1600 in about 3 seconds.

Note: I don't have an aftermarket exhaust.

Yes, 5x5... it's a little extreme, I know, and I about fell outta the truck the first time I saw what it was doing. Now I only go to 5x5 when "Uncle Ben's" decides they want to see what the mighty Cummins has got. And that's only long enough to fill their car with smoke (cause they always have their window down, their always in the right lane, and they always end up right by my tailpipe for some reason) and to pull ahead of them enough to show that they don't wanna run anymore... if they do, I drop it down to 3x5 and walk away under 1300*, which is still a touch much, so I don't do it often.

Mostly I drive around w/ the box off and just the DD3's. Works pretty good at this elevation... just like having only the Comp on about 3x3 (before the injectors).

Can't wait to go back down to normal elevations, like 1000 ft. , so I can have some real air and feel all my power that I miss. :(
