Speedracer said he is reading POST turbo. You can only guess,Speedracer. You need to add anywhere from 300 to 400 degrees to your gauge reading, and try to keep it under 1250 total after you do the addition. Post readings are inaccurate with the best math applied.

Yeah, Post turbo.

I know, I should probably move to pre turbo, but that's where it is for the moment. I'm typically running 800-850 post turbo. It sounds like that should be alright.

Speed racer, for awhile I had pre and post pyro gauges, the pre turbo temps climb ALOT quicker. I would hit 1350 pre and still only be 600 post, eventually the post would max out at 750 to 800. If you get to much over 800 I would shift or back out of the throttle some. At the time I had a Banks setup which wouldn't allow more than 1350 pre, and I never saw over 800 post turbo. Hope this helps,

Jerry

Speedracer,

I had my pyro censor after the turbo for many years. I recently drilled and tapped the manifold and installed the probe at that point. My gauge now moves very fast,(more responive)and the temp readings are anywhere from 300-400 F higher than what was observed when the probe was mounted after the turbo.

I wish I had installed the probe in the manifold in the beginning, as that is where I think it should be for more accurate readings.
