Maximum Tongue Weight for Class IV

Does anyone know what the maximum tongue weight for the Class IV hitch that comes with the tow package on the 2003 HD Rams? What is the maximum tongue weight for a load equalizing hitch coupled with this set-up? I am interested in towing an Airstream Safari 28' which lists a hitch weight of 1270 lbs. and am not sure whether I will have to look for an aftermarket setup for this.

My guess it is 1000# unless they raised it on the '03's.

Ya, you are going to be over the rating of the hitch. You have a first class CTD and trailer so buy the best hitch which is the Titan Class 5.
