Omaha NE and Surrounding Areas ORGANIZE

Colorado Springs, CO "wrench day"

Great turn out and lots of new faces.

I hear Norm is now know as "Cookie"

Kinda nice to sit back and watch others work for a change.

Thanks Tim, Josh & crew for a great time.

-John

I checked my mileage after filling up in Alex on the way home. Nice solid 23 mpg from my ol 12 valve. 600 mile round trip for me

I want to thank Tim at Torque Diesel, Norm, and Kevin for all their hard work. They made sure the place was good and ready for the party. Ironically, every time I couldnt' make it... . they were there making me look bad! (not a hard job)

My next idea for a gathering will be after Muncie. For those of us who are going to exchange pictures and stories... . and talk those who didn't go into comming with next year! Any ideas for July Gentlemen? Who needs Lukes links done? What do you guys want to do? Gov springs? Major BOMBS, fire rings... etc. Let me know. I'm all ears.

Everytime we hold one of these, we get more and more people. From what I understand there was an official count of 52 people and 37 trucks! Tim also pointed out... if you go back to the central forum and click on "Views" it will change the order to the most viewed on down. Out of 4 gatherings, all the posts are within the top 6.

For those who don't know, the MNTDR group we have started, started by accident. I needed the KDP done on my truck and had the JIG comming to me. Knowing the massive ammount of damage it can cause I posted and wanted to see how many guys wanted to come out and get theirs done too. We did 7 that day, but had 30 trucks come and go. At that point I decided to keep going with it. Curt was more than happy to help us out with a web site, www.MNTDR.org, and we were rolling. This being told, I'm always looking for ideas from you guys. Please PM me with any ideas you may have. Maybe a day at the Drag Strip with the Wisc TDR group at Rock Falls? Let me know!

TurboTweaker, Thanks for the tire info I will keep it in mind. I tried working on the G/F and she is still like hell no. (truck pulling)The only way I think I would do it is if I did break something I would need some donations and get the truck fixed quick because she would kill me. I have been doing a lot of mods the the truck lately (about $5000 in 1-1/2 months) and the pockets are getting really light. Buy the way when and where and how much???

Who is pulling for sure???

Tim Thanks for every thing

Kevin

Thanks To All.

Wanted to say thanks to Tim and everyone else that put on this great event. Had a great time even though I had to come a go a couple times. Damn Work! Oh well, got a few things done to the truck so all is good. Cant wait till next time hopefully in june.

Hey all, sorry I couldn't make it. I'm still miffed about that.

Work had me in Jamestown, ND all week, and all the next week, and probably a third week as well. Given that I have to be away from the wife and my 7 month old little buddy that much, I chose to spend my precious weekend time at home. It just sucks because I SO wanted to be down there and have people badger me into bombing my truck. :) To add to my out-of-town torture, I have to drive the company GMC gas-guzzling 454 all week, and leave my wonderful oil-burner in the parking ramp. Every Cummins that I hear out in ND I turn and look at and smile at the sound of a real engine. :) And then I miss my truck.

Maybe next time I'll get down there. Sounds like it was a great time as usual. Josh, you have quite the little local chapter going here. Sorry I haven't been doing jack all to help out.

Thanks too all

I just wanted to give a big thanks for all that helped with my truck. I feel guilty since I didn't get dirty, maybe I should have left and went dumpster diving myself. On the same note of not getting dirty, it was hard to get close to the truck with all the help I had, again a huge thanks. I still haven't told the wife what else I bought, figured she doesn't need to know.

As far as Luke Links, ya I need one, I would have done it when my truck was in the first time, but can wait till later. I will need a clutch soon, slipped it once already.

I did look into some take off H2 rims and tires. My bud told me there are 8 of them now in Rosedale, he said he can get them for me for 400 bucks for a set of 4.

Andy, Kevin, and Jason thanks a mill for the work, I am very impressed. Tim thanks for the use of your shop, and getting the little extra parts I have been debating on buying... ... ... ... lol.

Jason, your SS pipe is being done right now. Have to do a little machine work to it but should be done today or tomorrow.

Now I am up for the next meet, sorry I can't make the pull on the 22nd, but am open for any other things you guys are doing... ... . let me know. Jim.

I wanted to say thanks to Tim for hosting this. I will have to say that I am really IRATE that my truck is down AGAIN! Pretty soon people won't believe that I even own the thing anymore. One of these days...

I enjoyed seeing all the new faces and talking diesels. Not to mention, joking around with the usual suspects. Couple of very nice 1st gens there. I was thoroughly impressed. I hope it was worth while for Tim to host this event. What did your buddy from Cummins think of our lunacy?

Josh, just an FYI, I won't be able to pull on the 22nd. I have a meet at K&S Fuel Injection in Wausau. I MUST attend it to uphold the honor of the Cummins over the Dmax that I KNOW will put down some strong numbers. Sorry. BUt do keep me in mind for pulling. I would like to give it the ol' college try, if only in exhibition. :D

Thanks again for a great time. I hope to see some of you guys at the next one.

Come on guys we got 3 pullers, and only 2 that can make weight for sure. KEVIN COME PLAY! anyways to those trucks that i worked on thanks for leting me get dirty. :D :D :D

Thanks

Hey guys,

Wanted to say thanks to Tim for hosting the even. It was a good time.

Also wanted to thank those of you who helped get that da** boost gauge up and going.

Nice to meet some of you that were so "local" to me.

Kevin, thanks for the ride to H. D.

By the way, I will never forget "I work to Crysler, and that voids the waranty! NOW HAVE A GOOD DAY!"

Say Wally, that piece I made for ya weighs in at 4. 60 pounds. I am wondering if that may be to heavy? Sure looks nice though... ... ... ..... lol. Let me know when you may want to get together and try it out, or if I need to take some material out of the ID. Like I said I still have an 1/8 wall to work with.

Josh,

Thanks for taking the lead to set up these events. Unfortunately, once again I was unable to make it. I am doing a lot of work on the house this summer and last weekend was the only time my "unpaid" helpers could be at my place.

I can only look forward to the next meet. Dyno, drags, bombs, or just b. s. , all sound great to me.

Looking way down the road (August), have you guys ever gone as a group to the truck pulls in Tomah?

Hope to meet you all at the next one.

AMartinson pretty much sums it up for me too. I really wanted to come, but couldn't again. I REALLY want to make the next meet. I wish I had the time to go to Muncie again, but I'm going to have to miss a year. :( ( I can't help ya smoke screen ricers this year ChillyDog)

I'd be interested in a lukes link and maybe even fire rings, I may as well do it before I need it done. Usually I think if it's not broken don't fix it, but I guess "preventive maintence" is always good too. I've got a really busy summer, but hopefully I"ll see everybody at the next meet.

Corey

This weekend I'm gonna fire up the Dart and put the dock in... . If I can stay away from the car long enough... . It always seems faster after not driving it all winter. :)
