I was there. It was VERY impressive.
the 12 sec mark for gassers is usually near 120mph at the trap.
For CTD's making upwards of 1400ftlb and turning sub 2sec 60ft times 11. 96@111mph is believable and TRUE.
There were lots of clearly bogus times as shown by the 0. 00 60ft readings.
There were lots of fast trucks. Craig Monroe was running a nice 12v that really needed a set of gov springs. he was running 15. 1 w/1. 8 60ft times. the launches were awesome!!!! He was defueling at the shifts to keep the revs up running in 4wd on a 5spd. He also won a trophy at the mudbogs. . he was dropping clods all over the track:-laf:-laf
Sparky. . I mean Kurt Yardley

ran 15's w/a slipping clutch. His SouthBend is actually coming back after he slipped it in the sled pulls. He made an impressive grind of the flywheel at the sled pulls. . hence 'Sparky'. The South bend ConFE is solid feramic. when you slip it like that it doesn't hurt the clutch. the clutch regrinds the flywheel. A new pressure plate and resurface the flywheel and he'll be in the low 14's again. It may not need that. The longer you run the clutch after the abuse it reconditions the flywheel and gets stronger again. All I can say is that PETER (SBC) IS THE MAN!!!
May Madness was fun but I expect Muncie to be exponentially better.
