Competition dual turbos

Competition 2 thumbs up for may madness

I was there. It was VERY impressive.

the 12 sec mark for gassers is usually near 120mph at the trap.

For CTD's making upwards of 1400ftlb and turning sub 2sec 60ft times 11. 96@111mph is believable and TRUE.

There were lots of clearly bogus times as shown by the 0. 00 60ft readings.

There were lots of fast trucks. Craig Monroe was running a nice 12v that really needed a set of gov springs. he was running 15. 1 w/1. 8 60ft times. the launches were awesome!!!! He was defueling at the shifts to keep the revs up running in 4wd on a 5spd. He also won a trophy at the mudbogs. . he was dropping clods all over the track:-laf:-laf

Sparky. . I mean Kurt Yardley :p:-laf;) ran 15's w/a slipping clutch. His SouthBend is actually coming back after he slipped it in the sled pulls. He made an impressive grind of the flywheel at the sled pulls. . hence 'Sparky'. The South bend ConFE is solid feramic. when you slip it like that it doesn't hurt the clutch. the clutch regrinds the flywheel. A new pressure plate and resurface the flywheel and he'll be in the low 14's again. It may not need that. The longer you run the clutch after the abuse it reconditions the flywheel and gets stronger again. All I can say is that PETER (SBC) IS THE MAN!!!

May Madness was fun but I expect Muncie to be exponentially better.

I'm going to put up all the video's this weekend if everything works out. They will be a little higher quality so those sparks should really stand out. :D

just a question, could you do a small bandwidth version, and a FAST(LAN) connection version? I am not too worried about size. Also, how do i save those that you posted already to my hard drive?

Andrew

Not sure if there's enough room on the server for two versions.

To save them just right click on the video after it downloads all the way and click on save as. Save it to your desktop.

Joe, what does the time slip show for mph on the 11 second run you speak of?

I'm asking because I have a time slip showing Christian's run at 111 mph at 12. 54. Do you think he stopped along the way???:)

600. 9 horsepower

12. 80 @ 108 mph

HVAC,

There is alot of different factors than just MPH. Keith may have the NOS dialed in better and he has a tighter TC which will give him better mid range (330ft to 660ft). This will contribute to the big difference in E. T. MPH usually will give you a good comparison in hp though. If they are both going approx. 111mph they should be making similar hp. Hope this clears somethings up.

13. 5 and 13. 6 were the best I could do with my diesel only. the track told me i needed a helmet after those two runs.

Got 4 or 5 1. 8x 60fts tho... . i do love those.

now that i am back in my good air... it should be interesting

Also weighed the truck - 6480 with me + ¼ tank of fuel. its a tad heavier then i thought.

hvac

christian's truck has 4. 10's, while he was on the dyno we noticed at 105mph his hp dropped off like a brick. so those last 6mph he was just coasting against the limiter. when he gets his big tires for racing we will have a problem.

what does your truck weigh? mine was a little over 7000, christian's truck weighs around 6400lbs as does dd's. i wish nowell and i could have raced, but it didn't pan out. all of you that couldn't make it, you missed a great time.

Christian has terrible 60ft times compared to most of us... . he sprays in 1st gear (2 stage system)... . and I don't think he has ever gotten under 2. 3 or 2. 2 60ft time? If he brings that down he'll be right in the same area as the DD truck.

Just something I thought of. Did the slip you have show a correct 60ft time?

Kat, that sneaky Canuck left us at the light BIGTIME!:) He had a . 594 light, with a 1. 974 60' to our . 819 light and 1. 924 60'. That's a hella light he cut which should have put him on one of his quickest passes.

The time slip shows us within 2 tenths at the 1/8th and so on. If we would have had as good a light as he did it would have been a dead heat.

It kinda sounded like Christian was makin' popcorn shortly after he got off the line:eek: Bad fuel?

I'm still on an anti drug, #2 diesel only campaign (for about two more weeks anyway:)). Too many drugs will cause a head gasket anuerism my friends. Just say NYET!!!

HVAC,

Why would the light have put him on a good run. Reaction times don't could for you E. T. The time starts once you have broken the beams and have received a reaction time. You guys need to do come more racing if . 594 is considered good, catch on of those in eliminations and you done.
