May Madness-who's going to the drag strip?

So I was wondering, who all's planning on running down the drag strip (I believe it's on Friday)? I know it's just time trials but I think it would be fun if we wound up running each other. Who knows, maybe even a Powderpuff or two will show up #ad
I've done amateur (sp)racing on the street and have always wanted to run on the strip just to say I have. It dawned on me the other day, though, do we have to have a helmet or anything else special to run our big Rams down the quarter mile? Just want to be prepared.

helmet really depends on the track , i was at englishtown and required a helmet , but at my track unless you run faster than a 14. 00 no helmet is needed .

i'm planning on being there , though i won't be the fastest ... . i won't be the slowest ... hehehe ... ordered the rims for the slicks last week .

I'm looking forward to hangin' at the strip (not the one with gambling tables). Adam and I will be at Sears Point Raceway Wednesday to start to fine tune things. With the auto transmission installed now we should be flyin'.

JNutter, Desert Dodge has had different people on the registration effort at different times, but if there is a problem, we will straighten it out at the meet. Bring your cancelled check or credit card bill etc. to verify payment if you are concerned.

DD has been very busy but if you had called ahead and made an appointment, it would have helped. I know they have done other trucks that had appointments, but sometimes lately have had trouble fitting in a truck with no notice. They hope to have some real nice stuff set up for us at May Madness. J&S Diesel will also have an interesting tour with their $87K pump machine and a P pump taken apart and spread out on a bench.
