maybe removing the cat does do something

So a few weeks ago I took my truck down to the track and ran a best of 15. 48 with the cat on. Removed the cat and took it again last Friday and it ran a 15. 29 and the only mod since then is kitty removal (same basic outside temps on both nights)... I know everyone says ditching the cat does nothing from a performance standpoint but seems odd it ran . 2 better. Anyone else have the same thing happen to them?

I ditched my cat a while ago and it cooled my EGTs down about 100*

Lowered my egt's 50 maybe 75degrees. Also much louder... It's all good.

kill the cat... the mbrp replacement pipe is a nice piece to install, along with getting a better muffler. now with my sps 66, the exhaust sounds like a jet.
