Anyone running the cool duels and air bags? I spoke to a tech at MBRP today and they said they have seen some work but others have not due to clearance issues. He seemed to think there was a difference between the different air bags out there. I thought they were pretty much all the same?

I'm not aware of any airbags that duel. My truck does have dual airbags: One in the steering wheel, and one in the dashboard in front of the front passenger. They also make airbags for side of the seats as well as for the suspension. ;) More types than you though, huh?

I have the silverline duels and the ride rite air bags. I did have a clearance issue so I took it to the local muffler shop and they rerouted the driver side pipe to give plenty of clearance. Hope that helps. ;) :)

Sorry, but not too familiar with silverline. Is that a 4" pipe? I was thinking maybe if I went to an "exhaust shop" to have them install it they could do some adjustments when putting it in to make it work. Sounds like that might be an option for me. I wasn't planning on installing it my self anyway.

I am curious about the ride empty changing. To those that have them installed, did you notice any "REALLY" negative aspects of the ride after the installation? I too was looking at the Ride Rite's and Air Lifts but am worried about the ride empty being rougher... .

I too am sorry for the hijack :( But would really like to get level with the camper on the truck. This 06 is MUCH softer than my 98. 5 I gave up and has no overload bumpstops.

Thanks in advance!

I also have the Ride Rite Airbags but only with the MBRP single exhaust and it has no problem with clearance. As for the ride, if you can afford it I would go with the on board air, as I find it needs to have the min pressure (10psi) or the ride is very firm with no load in the truck and it would be really nice to be able to quickly drop or raise the air pressure as needed for loads on and off the truck. They work very well other than the pain of inflating deflating the airbags.

Hope that helps
