MBRP Muffler kit Install

Just installed the MBRP muffler kit on my 04. 5 and it turned out pretty good. The hardest part was taking the stock muffler out. Pain in the #@*, but doable. Just had to trim the tailpipe some and the extension pipe that was in the kit a little bit to get it all correctly installed. Bought the system from DPPI, which was great to deal with. I do have some pictures if any one is interested. The files are too big for TDR so I will have to email them.

Do you have any drone with this system? Did it change the way it sounds inside the truck?

Did not notice any drone at all this this setup. Believe it or not the cab is as quiet as stock. Has a nice sound while in to the throttle. I don't know if it's just me, but the truck seems to have better throttle response and faster spool up than before.

Hey glad you got it installed. You're right once you get the stock ten ton muffler off the rest is easy!! On the 2004. 5 we have here and the customer feedback we get the muffler is basically stock sounding if you have the windows up and are just cruising etc. If you flat foot the throttle you get a nice deep rumble. Of course you get a little more turbo whistle too! Now if you off road and add the cat test pipe you will get an increased cruising volume, but with just the muffler it's really tame!!
