MBRP or Silverline

Got a question for you 3rd gen guys. Which of these dual systems sounds the most melow? I ran into a few issues with my stacks so they came off for a while, but wanting to run a dual system. I had the MBRP duals before and loved them, but had a small drone issue around the 2000-2200 rpm range and was wondering if the silverline system has the same issue? Any advise would be great.

I installed a silverline turbo-back system on my '05 2 months ago. I put a mbrp muffler were my cat was. That mellowed the exhaust very nicely!!!! But reading your SIG you probably don't want mellow! The fit and finish was outstanding on the silverline.

I have the single Silverline turbo-back system, from what I can tell the muffler is identical to the MBRP. My rig w/out the cat has a pretty good "BRAAP" to it when I get on the go pedal and a mild drone at highway speeds.

ANSA used to be built by MBRP, there were some issue and that relationship dissolved and the Sliverline is made in Asia now. Can't tell you if the sound is the same or not as the packing material has a pretty good effect on that! You can also get a small straight thru muffler that we have from MBRP that is very effective in killing any drone you might get. It mounts as far forward as possible. Some trucks seem to have it and some don't go figure! I think it has to do with the cab and bed lengths??

Dont know a thing about MBRP, but I love my Silverline! I've looked at MBRP, and both seem to have outstanding systems.

Had my mbrp for only a few weeks and I love it!!!! I have a very slight drone cruising on the highway 1500-2000rpm. But I can live with it. I can have a conversation with my passenger with the windows down if that helps.



Like what mrsnow said it does have a good "BRAAP" when you get into it.

It definetely lets people know taht you are coming down the road.



My truck is a quad, short bed. I've heard some people who have mbrp have really bad drone. I think what mark craig said that it has to do with bed length, cause they seems to be folks with long beds.
