So for some reason I was hungry for McDonalds of all things for dinner. I guess with the years of healty eating, you get the urge for the junk every once in a while. Anyway, have any of you come across the ads for the new McDonalds Dinner Box? For $9.99 you get 2 Big Macs, 2 cheesburgers, 4 small fries, and a 10 piece nugget.

Of course, it was after I finished eating the dang thing that my daughter told me it was meant for an entire family. Pretty sure my middle aged stomach isn't going to like me tomorrow.......

I hope you are not sick to your stomach Monday morning.

I have not eaten at a McDonalds in 20 years nor a Burger King. Have eaten at a Culvers though they are way better than either of the other two.

Oh no worries, I will be feeling it for sure. Tomorrow morning should be fun.

I haven't eaten fast food in years also unless you count Subway. I have no Idea why I decided to stop there today.

I would think that the southern portal is the thing that's not going to like your choice of junk food. :-laf
Might head to Costco and lay in an industrial size drum of Ex-lax ;)

My deadly sin is Ben and Jerry's

Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream and one of the wife's Brownies in the bottom of the trough, I can ALMOST finish a 1/2 gallon of it on my own

I make my ice cream I like it better, but when im out and in need of a FIX I got to do, what I got to do, to feed the Monkey on my back.

coffee is another thing that has become an addiction, We don't have a Starbucks handy but when we were in Las Vegas, I was like a drug addict in a Pharmacy, I don't drink it passed 10AM but l like the JOLT!!!!! first thing in the morning to get me jump started.

We don't have a Starbucks near here either. The closest is probably a half hour away or so. I do like their coffee and I will stop if we are on the road and pass one.

I can drink coffee nearly 24/7. All these years in the Fire/EMS game tends to get you used to drinking almost anything. We have one great chain of fuel stores in our area called Sheetz. Every time we stop to fuel up one of the rigs, we end up with coffee. I don't know if it is company policy, but at least locally I can't remember ever paying. They do the same for the police.

When I drove over the road it was non stop coffee, and even when we went on disaster relief jobs it was all the time. I don't know why but about 6 years ago if I drank it passed 10 am I had a hell of a time going to sleep. Greg Harman and I got together on this site and he told me about egg shells in my Cowboy coffee, I still dont drink it past 10am but Cowboy coffee will put some lead in your pencil IN A HURRY One cup and im ready to go, two cups and im hard at it, 3 cups and that's about it unless its going to be a long day behind the wheel. I use Starbucks French Roast whole beans and grind them at the time of use. Or a brand from MT coffee

I don't know about where you live but Chevron gave free coffee to any Emergency People and we got it for free when we dropped fuel at the stations. As far as gas station coffee goes its some of the better I think.

Whenever I ate from McDonalds it was already Ex-Lax.

Dave
We rarely eat fast food, unless Quiznos or Subway is fast food. We do stop at a place in Hungry Horse that we know the people and have an Elk Burger and some Huckleberry pie other than that not much else for fast food.

Im at macdonalds every morning drinking coffee. Much better than starbucks (I hate starbucks coffee) But I never eat their food.

The only fast food burger joint that I can tolerate is Wendy's but that seems to be declining in quality a bit lately. Subway in my area has pretty good fare. Don't have to eat it twice at least...

I'm with you on Subway. When we're traveling, I purposely look ahead and find where the Subways are to avoid eating at the places that serve hamburgers that claim to be made of meat.

If there is one around, I will stop at Cracker Barrel while on the road. It takes some time, but at least you get a decent meal.

I did not include them as we only have one in the State so far and that is way down in Portland.

I love Cracker Barrel!!! I don't know how many I drove by on my first trip to Arizona thinking that it was just some country store trinket chain.....

And thanks to frigin' Robert Schwarzli I now have a jones for Golden Corral........and must stop whenever I see one.....He did it to me....That's what I get for running with the Ontario crowd...Oo.

Mike.

I haven't been to Golden Corral in a number of years. They used to have one here in our town but it closed for some reason. It was always busy.

...................:-laf

I guess it could be worse. Some places in other country's use food grade glue to mate pieces of meat together to make a scrumptious steak.....yaaaaaack.
