I did a search, but couldn't find anything. Anyone recommend a dealer in the Baltimore/Washington area to take the truck in for warranty? I'd like to just take it to Cummins over in Glen Burnie, but can I do that? I've got 42k miles, and the water pump seal seems to be failing :{

Frankly, I'd just as soon do it myself, but if for whatever reason the pump is actually failing (don't think so, still got plenty of heat in the cabin and the engine stays cool), I don't want to pay for a new pump.

It's an '01 ETH if anyone is wondering.

Thanks...

Cummins won't foot the bill. You would have to pay if you take it to them. For warranty issues you have to see a dodge dealer. The water pump is a piece of cake to replace.

I am not sure about how much it would cost to buy a pump and replace it. The warranty deductable will be $100. My truck never went to a dealer, so I can't help you out with that part

good dealer

ha dave

I have a 01 ho with the powerpac banks system and i had to take it back to my dealer for warr, work. They said nothing about my upgrades. The dealer is not to far from you in Silver Spring MD off of rt 29. Talk with craig real nice guy, Herb Gordon Dodge. Also i only live 10 min. from the cummins in Glen burine, they only do the things the dealer can`t do.

Best of luck Ron

Go to Fritzgerald Dodge in Frederick md. ask for Calvin( dodge service manger), I've had some good luck with dealing with Calvin he seems to be a good person, sorry Don't have the phone number handy at this time.

I bought my truck from Herb Gordon Dodge in Silver Spring and have had good luck with them, but haven't had any warranty issue with them. I ask for Scott.

Hey Ron, we must be neighbors.

Thanks for the info. I ended up stopping by Cummins last night and picking up the O-ring, I'll install it myself and hope that fixes it. I was going to flush the coolant within the next 5k anyway.

If not, I'll give Herb Gordon a try.

$100 warranty deductible? Is that right? I've never heard of anything like that, not on a regular warranty.

deductible

i guess it matters what warrnty you have, i have a extra one, i bought my, but i,m still under the 3/36 with only 14,000miles.
