2000 qc 4x4 with vibration under passenger floorboard. Been to dealer 3x. Any ideas? They cant figure it out. They put sway arm and ball joints and problem persists.

My dads truck has the same exact problem. Early build of 00. I haven't really checked into very far, just because it's not a very bad problem.

Dads seems to be worse on the highway. Kinda got annoying on the way to Florida, and back.

I'm an auto Tech myself, and i have no clue as to where to start to locate this problem, other than it seems like it is a body seem that was not glued or spot welded properly. Not sure though. Please keep us posted.

Thought I seen some posts recently or in the TDR magizine where some of the newer trucks had this and they had to loosen engine and trans mounts and realine or something.

Just thinnking out loud

How bad is it?? My son and I commute together so we switch driving. When I am on the passenger side I can feel a vibration in the floorboard towards the firewall. My '94 does it, my '98. 5 ext. cab does it, my buddy's '02 ext. cab does it as well. It never has gotten any worse, but I would like to see somebody figure it out. I have chalked it up as a minor thing, but I'm sure that on a long trip it would get to you. It seems the worst on the interstate from 70 to 75 mph. All the above trucks are 3/4 ton 4x4's. '94 has 2" lift in front, '98. 5 is bone stock, '02 has Fisher Minute Plow so is always carrying the weight of the pushplates. Gotta' be a design flaw in something.

Maybe it's just a characteristic of the truck. We sometimes identify noises or vibes as problems but they may be just the way it is. From experience, different truck brands have different noise vibe qualities. The Cummins truck seems to be the most uncivilized of the big three. My GMC Dmax was smoother and quieter inside. The Dodge has more of a truck feel.

My 99 does the same thing. Passenger side feet on the floor, you get a kind of bumping??? I thought the suspension arm bushings were gone due to r/f wreck before I bought it that the dealer never really fixed right . . . . owned since 5/01 w/75 k, presently 135k - it hasen't gotten worse??? Hoping someone has a fix or it may "just be what it is".

I had that in my 94 gasser. I can't remember what it was! Check to make sure the exhaust isn't rubbing on body or frame. Good luck ghost hunting!

Also check to see if the passenger door is latching up tightly. Sounds are hard to trace when moving, so even check for stuff in the glove box, door storage, make sure the door speaker is tight. Sometimes I get a buzz in the dash... turns out it is something vibrating on the 4x4 shift lever and just sounds like the dash.

I second that. Had that problem when I put the 5" exhaust on. The tubing was touching the frame just enough to send vibes through the truck.

I had that and a few other problems with my 5"... .

Never felt any other vibes since I took it off.

Well... its not too bad of a vibe then again its under the passenger side floorboard (feet) and I dont let just anybody drive her. (that would be cheating in her eyes). Its worse at RR tracks or rough roads. I dont have any mods ... yet. So I dont believe its exhaust hitting anything. . And like the guy said mabey its just a characteristic. (in the prev thread) Just tryn to figure if anyone else had seen this as well;and if so were able to diagnose. Looks like others have noticed it too. I reckon for now its "that new foot massager... . leave a quarter in the ashtray" LOL

Holysmokes mine does the EXACT same thing you're talking about ...

build 2-00, if that matters

been trying to figure it out for 24k miles now ...

hasn't got any better or worse ... new transmission, exhaust and 3rd gen track bar made no difference at all

if anyone figures it out pm me
