Some of you may have seen my 911 post last week. My truck won't start by itself, I have to use starting fluid. I live in NM, but am in Las Vegas temporarily for military trng. Nellis AFB had an auto skills center, but it's closed. I need to change an injector (hopefully just one) and am looking for a driveway or garage to use next Saturday morning. I really need to get the truck fixed before I pull my fifth wheel back to eastern NM in a couple of weeks. In a perfect world I'm hoping to find a gracious soul who will help me out, but that also has exp. changing these, and perhaps has the miller tools to pull the injector tube and the injector.

I think I can do it myself, but I'm in the RV Park on Base, and they frown on car maintenance in the park.

Perhaps a case of an adult beverage might persuade some. And I promise not to drink any of it :D

Thanks.

TDR writer and member Joe Donnelly formerly lived in LV or the immediate area. Joe knows people there that might be able to help you.

I don't know how frequently he browses the forums. If you don't receive offers this evening pm Joe and ask him if he can recommend someone.

The good news---- no special tools needed to pull the injectors or the tubes. A small pinch bar under the injector hold down will pop it out with very little effort. A pocket screw driver will remove the tubes faster and easier than the miller tool. The important part is to get the torque specs and the tools to apply them properly
