I am changing the transmission out on my 1984 W350 with 360 motor. I am going to a NV4500 5 speed and will utilize the 205 transfer case. This calls for a different bell housing and possibly drive shaft work also. I need to convert the mechanical clutch linkage to hydraulic. Has anyone done this before and will the hydraulic unit from a 1985 (or later) work? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

It will work you just have to use all of the parts ,including the support bracket then add a peace of sheet metal to mount the unit in ,some cases a gen 2 one would be better , A person might contact American Piwertrain they may have a much simpler way to do the foremention above ?? If so report back p!ease!
