Does Anyone Know How To Yield Anymore?

Dumbest thing I ever read...

Last April, I had a heart attack. It was a good one. According to the doctors, someoene age 42 should have an ejction fraction rate (heart pump capacity) of 60%. Mine runs 20-25% on a good day.

My cardiologist put me on the following diet: http://www.chwendelmd.com/dietaryplanandrecipes/

No white, soft carbohydrates, moderate protien, low fat. It lowers your cholesterol, sugar/insulin levels and beleive me, I'm not hungry. In fact, I eat pretty good. I lost 40 pounds in 4 months and have kept it off.

Yeah, there are days when I'd kill for a cheese steak, a real Western omlette, pizza. One day a month I'm allowed to misbehave and can eat all that bad stuff.

Try it, it's easy.

Chinese?! Saturated fat from frying and sesame oil for flavoring, sodium in the soy and MSG. White rice (soft, white carbo that turns to sugar)!!

Man, I got to cut back on that stuff.

Hey Ramboy. I've been on fruit and rice for 4 days, lost seven pounds, BP so low (80/55)I'm going to have to stop Prinivil, I'm going to try for 3 wks 20lbs, don't know if I can make it, I'm sick of rice already. Other than being hungry all the time I feel good.

Bill, I eat 10 lbs of potatoes a week. Nuke em for 4 minutes each and eat with hot suace. Unsalted peanuts, pretzles, fat free yogurt, oranges, carrots, strawberries, dried apricots, and about 1. 5 - 2 gallons of water a day. That is my lunch and 2 beaks every day of the week.

Theres a down side to it... , I get real hungry for fat food sometimes like for supper I had a breaded tenderloin and a whole Texas BBQ sandwich... FAT A$$!!! I'll pay for that one. I think a good Sunday of splitting wood is in order to burn off that fat!

The doctors tell me that I will die around 65. And it will probably be a massive heart attack. I guess that's the problem with being a firefighter, statistically speaking. At least, that's what the doctor told me. So much for a late retirement (like I was gonna work my life away anyway).

Switca, I think the diet you are on is good, except the spuds, even if you didn't have a heart problem. I think the things most important to stay clear of are the boxed, highly refined loaded with sugar and salt crap that the supermarket is full of. Brown rice and spuds are probably my favorite foods because of taste only, never been a heavy meat eater, and I'm not on a health kick. Love garlic. I like Reese's Peanutbutter Cups and beer too !!! Hope you can still sneak some of those in every once in awhile.

Switca, checked out your diet looks good, but no potatoes !!!,that would be the worst for me.

Regular potatoes are out, sweet potatoes are in. Not the same, but not bad.

White rice is our, brown rice is in. Brown rice tastes great, just takes forever to cook.

Plain old white bread is out, 100% whole wheat is in. Never liked plain, old Wonder Bread. I grew up on rye and pumpernickle, made some some guy from the old country.

Pasta is out. **** near went through withdrawl on that one, but there are pastas made with whole wheat and other non-wheat things, so Sunday is pasta night again!!

Yeah, I had to make some changes. When they tell you that your primary pump is screwed up beyond belief and there's nothing they can do, you make changes. They did suggest a transplant, but I dont see that as an option.
