Has anyone used the manifold that places the turbo more to the rear of the engine? It has the uneven split of 4/1 and 2/1. I know it will create uneven backpressure but I wonder if it will be enough to hurt anything on a 700 ft/lb. 12 valve. It will work better for my conversion. I noticed Cummins uses that basic design on the latest Dodge engine.

The port shape seems to be OK. This is the manifold that came with the 1995 Ford chassis 6BTA Medium Duty engine that I am building. I am only concerned about the uneven split of 4/1 and 2/1. I also have a 1990 even split Dodge manifold but it has shrunk so mutch the bolts will barely start. The Ford manifold places the turbo at a better location for my use.

The 03+ manifold from ATS has the offset design you're looking for and the cylinders are routed 3/1 & 3/1. The only problem is the flange surface is 90° to the block so not all turbos will have clearance to the block.

It would be nice to have the 12V port mouths machined in, instead of the round 24V. I suspect ATS could do it for you when they make it.
