Mega Cab Dually?

I was suprised to learn that a Mega Cab dually is coming out in January. Also suprised I didn't read about it here first. I haven't seen or found (any) postings about the Megacab Dually, just rumors. "The all-new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab Dually arrives in Dodge dealerships in January. Still only offering the 6' bed, but here is pretty good evidence there is a dually coming out. That should look pretty sweet and another first for Dodge, as I've never seen a 6' factory dually.

Ford did a 6' dually for awhile, IMHO they looked awful. I need the long bed, but I need the room also Dodge, help us guys that use these trucks. With my Aux fuel tank, I have a 4' bed. Actually, a mega-cab with a 10' bed would be PERFECT.

FWIW, I saw the truck they had on display at the Texas State Fair, it looked pretty good.

The people that I know who saw the dually at the dealer confrence said it looks realy good in person and nothing like the pictures; I guess one of those have to see it to believe its...

I saw it back at the texas state fair. it looks like a regular mega cab except dual tires and a flare that is an exact copy of a bushwacker extend-a-fender flare except that it is like 10 inches wide.

Now that I can see the pic in color, from that angle, those fenders look like an after-thought. I think there is room for improvement, but then again I haven't seen it in person.

Don't like the new 6' box... flares look like they're after-market... Back to the 1st Gen look ... and slider hitches for the boyz towing 5 'ers... The 3rd Gen, pre 2006, w/long box would be my choice... beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

i kinda like the look.



as for a 6ft dually since they need a dually to compete w/ ford and chevy, and they only offer a 6ft bed they need the dually. as for an after thought my understanding the whole megacab is an after thought so this kinda fits it.



also from what i heard they are only offering the mega till 07 when from what ive heard theres a body change then they will get a new frame to offer a full sized 4dr the size of the ford and a long bed option. just what i heard idk maybe they will keep the mega as is

A little of the old with the new.

I love it, this thing reminds me of the first gens. Those are badass trucks! I love it and would love to get one if I could convince my wife to let me spend that kind of money again.



I really like the old with the new look, reminds me of the Ford Mustang. That thing just demands respect!
