Mega Cab Dually

Not sure if this is old news or not. At work tonight I saw two mega cab duallies in a railcar and both of them had 3rd gen fenders not the one similar to the 1st gens. These were actual fenders not the flare type. Took some trying before I could tell that they were mega cabs, but they were. Thought I would pass it on.

I stopped at the dealer here in Tucson yesterday for a curiosity look. They had a couple of the MC Duallys. GVWR is 10. 500 lbs. What a waste. As someone pointed out earilier, that's only 600 lbs more than the SRW, and the duallys take up about 1/2 of that. I wasn't all that impressed with the MC design. I prefer the way the back seats fold up in the QC. I'll stick with my QC long box thank you very much.

After seeing all the extra gizmos added to the engine and exhaust not to mention the added cost I don't see one in my future anytime. IMHO Dodge really dropped the ball with the MC, after finally coming out with a cab design to compete in a growing market they did not do their homework. Looks like they just threw something out there to see if the customers would take the bait.

I think Ill go back to a 1st gen and get a real CTD! No electronics, no emission test, just 25mpg and enough power to pull the house off the foundation, not to mention an extra $40k still in the bank! :-laf
