"MEGA Cab"?

Interesting article on the TDR Home Page, of special interest to guys here constantly wishing for a TRUE Crew Cab from DC - but most interesting:



"Mega Cab is based on the heavy-duty Ram 2500 series underbody, and is expected to be available with a 345-horsepower V-8 Hemi engine and a rear-seat DVD player"



OH YEAH, gotta LOVE those rear seat DVD players - but how's about a CUMMINS under that hood?

I truly hope to see a Cummins under the hood mated to a nice e-brake compatible 5 speed auto. However, I wonder if DC will actually use the Cummins in it. My reasoning is the weight of the Cummins. My 2500 QC already has a measly payload capacity. Once you factor in the additional weight of the Mega Cab mounted on a long wheelbase chassis your payload will be pathetic. I figure that if the Cummins is offered in the Mega Cab and the current GVW's remain the same I will need a 3500srw just to have the same payload capacity as my current 2500 (which I'm already pushing the envelope on). I really want a bigger cab but if DC drops the ball on this I will be looking at a GMC or Ford in a couple of years.
