I've narrowed it down to either the Mega Cannon or Scotty II. What I need to know is anyone using either of these air intake systems with CPFF's battery mounted Amsoil dual remote by-pass unit? I'm wanting to know which (Mega Cannon or ScottyII) will fit without running into clearance problems with the dual by-pass unit.

Which intake system will give MORE turbo music? Before you answer I will say I can not bring myself to drilling the 4. 5" hole in the cowl for the Scotty II, so it would be using only the fender inlet.

Don't know about the clearance issue, but I believe the Mega Cannon uses a much larger filter than the Scotty2. I know from personal experience, that the Mega Cannon does produce some very sweet music:D

It is very impressive looking and a high quality item.

I am running the dual bypass with the mega cannon setup and it fits. I am using a battery mount from Ted Kidd instead of CPFF's but I did recently order CPFF's (Teds mount works great but I do a fair amount of offraoding and CPFF's will put less stress on the battery) and it is sitting in the garage and from the looks of it it will fit even better as the filter setup will sit a little lower and off center to the front allowing a tad more room for the turbo hose. By the way the turbo does sing with that setup.

I purchased it from 4togo in Wheatridge. Several months ago a local member posted that he got one there for a screaming deal at 135. 00. I just happen to see the post shortly after he posted and called them they told me 135 and they even shipped it to me down in Castle Rock for 8. 00. Hell it was worth the money for shipping to keep me from having to drive up there and get it. I saw later in that thread that they raised the price but don't remember to what. I suspect it was a pricing snafu on their part but I did have her verify the price when I called so I don't feel bad about it one bit. I think you can get them elsewhere for around 200. 00 so their price may be up around there.

Barry,

Tell me more about your dual bypass mounts-how much were they and where did you get them? I'm looking at addding a bypass system, and the Amsoil unit is one of a few I'm looking at. But room to mount it is an issue. I'm also leaning towards the AFE unit too. Your comments on this would be appreciated. Thanks! :D

I called them Saturday and the lady said the price has increased to $185. She said the $135 was a special introductory pricing. Kind of Pi$$es me off. I know if they where selling them for $135 they had to still be making a profit, now that the Mega Cannon is gaining popularity the price has been jacked up accordingly:mad:
