I bought the 4" offset and it wasn't enough room, so i lengthened it to 8", And the 8" works out fine, Monte
Jim I am pulling a gooseneck living quaters horse trailer not a 5er. All I have seen is B&W four inch offset ball option for the goosenecks on the short beds and wondered if others had used them and had any trouble with them or not. I do drive most of the time, but on long runs anybody might drive and I would be come the passenger. Having ridden in a mega I can attest to them being more comfortable. I am just not sure on the maneuverablility with the trailer.

You could do what I did, less the camper shell of course.

One thing to consider. With a Mega cab and a young one in a car seat in the back your wife won't be able to reach the child from the front seat. It's just too far back to even put a soother back in the mouth. My friend bought a new 3500 back in 08 and ended up not getting a Mega for that reason. Shad

Pop-Up Industries, now actually owned by Young's Frames, long time builder of frames for HitchHiker fivers, makes high quality products at fair prices.

I installed one of their gooseneck to fifthwheel adapters on my gooseneck tandem axle hydraulic dump trailer so I won't have to remove my fifthwheel from my truck everytime I want to haul a load of gravel.
