Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Well, I recently became a member a few weeks back.
5th gear nut backed off on our 97 3/4 2500.
Problem is, I'm 2000 miles away from the truck.
My father is currently using it to tow a 5th wheel holiday trailer.
We found a place in Las Vegas... . Drivetrain Specialist of L. V. that have another cure for this problem.
They replace shaft, use an updated bolt with retainer clip.
$350. 00 for kit + $585. 00 labour to pull transmission.

Has anyone heard or used these guys?
I've checked out two other places... . Texas & Montana... it's just that Vegas will be on the way home for my father... . convenience more than anything.
I've talked to them & say they have done a lot of these... non have had the nut back off... 100% fix.
Appreciate any help or thoughts... .
