New record.

Just as the title states... is there a possibility of getting all members listed by state and town on the website? Perhaps having an unlisted section for those who don't want listed. I have mentioned the TDR to several people who said they were definately signing up but haven't seen them online because I don't know their names but I do know where they are from. Perhaps something similar to our travel companion would be nice. List by state with town, forum user name, and maybe phone number. Thank you, Chris

You can already do that (at least as best as we were able to make it work) by pulling down the discussion forums menu to member list and then clicking on the location heading. Many users do not want their locations listed so you will see a bunch of blanks at the beginning of the list. Also, cities are listed first and then state for most people so it will be sorted on their city. That's the way the data was originally entered and we really have too many accounts out there to change it at this point.

Yeah, but is there a way not to just keep clicking next page, like to say skip to the middle? I just spent like 15 minutes and made it only to page 100 or so, and the locations were still blank. It would take half a day to get to the L's (city, not name). And you cannot search for city either.

I agree it would be nice to find this info out.

Well, first if you click on the up arrow to the right of location (after you've already clicked on location) it will reverse the sort order so you will be at the end of the alphabet. If you want to go to a specific page you can look up at your address bar and look for &page=3 - change that number to the page number you want to go to and press enter. I am going to look into adding the location field to the advanced member search function.

I said above that I'm looking into it Tim. I don't recall but I probably didn't make that change to the software when we moved to this new version of vB. There was a month of work doing 90 hour weeks there for that changeover and I probably missed that. I have to write custom code to enable that ability - it isn't built into vB.

You can now search by location on the advanced search page. Click on search on the upper right and scroll down to advanced search.
