Here is something to show the scope of fallen etc.

Interesting statistics. But, is that right ? Is that all we've lost in combat in iraq and iran ? In 18 years ? If it is, thank God!!!! Also, some of the statistics are really weird, such as loses per day. It shows a stat that shows we lost 11 per day in vietnam. We would lose that many in 10 seconds. The year I was there I think we lost something like 18,000 killed in action. And a goodly amount the following year.

Early on there was a good amount of time where we were just in an advisory role and had very few losses, if any. Then all hell broke loose.

My Dad was the MC at the Saline, MI services today. They have a great service each and every year. The list is very long for the stuff he continues to do for his fellow veteran brothers, sisters, and their familes.

They had a great speaker from the Fisher House Foundation and a special bell ceremony for all the lost submarines.
