Mercruiser 350 Magnum vs 350 S.O.?

I was wanting to know if anyone out there could tell me what the difference is between the two? Thanks in advance.

That's a big difference for 10 extra horsepower

That's a big difference for 10 extra horsepower

The difference in horsepower is coming from just the intake manifold most likely, and perhaps a very slight increase in CR.

Remember, this being a boat engine, it is running at 75-90% capacity nearly at all times, so those internals are going to last much longer under those conditions over the cast parts.
