Well I consider myself lucky with having my truck since new it's been a GREAT truck but now with 156K on it things are starting to wear out. While I am long time member here things have been tight and the first thing I had to lapse is my membership but I plan to renew soon as I can. I have only had to ask for guidance here twice. So on my way back from visiting my second mom (great Aunt) who is very sick now. My truck made a loud metal squeal like your brake sensor rubbing against rotors sound but not that because all are only 10,000 on them. I "think" it might be the A/C clutch but I was thinking might be the turbo? I noticed while pulling a long hill and EGT's got up into the 900 degree mark and boost was up near 34-36 I would hear that, I ran it all the way home 300 + miles it didn't do it but one more time. I am hoping it's the A/C clutch but is there a way to check the turbo? The only thing I have had to replace on the motor is water pump, tensioner, belt, idler pulley all done at the same time about 15,000 miles ago.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!!!
