Has anyone ever used or heard any feedback regarding Alcohol Injection Systems for water/meth injection. There kits seem pretty similar to other brand at a significant savings ($250 for a basic kit, no controler)

I got everything installed and wired and went for a quick test runn down the street. The Switch is set to activate the pump at 10psi. The pump puts out the full 150psi throught the booost range (10 - 30) When the methanol kicks in the truck (engine) begins to shake violently. I am running dual nozzles and do not yet know the gph rating they have. Where would be the best place to start? Lower the overall pump pressure? increase boost pressure prior to injection? I have also read bits and pieces about adjusting timing. Any suggestions Please???????

First off, what is your water/methenal ratio? I run 25% methenal, 75% water. I'd advise against running straight water. Also, what are you looking to get out of it? Hot Rod added horse power, imporved MFG or cooler pulling temps? How much to inject, nozzel size and pump pressure depends on your mods. if you're running high HP (400 hp & up) then big nozzels and high pump pressure. If she bucks Your injecting way too much. Turn it down till she runs smooth. Be carefull or you might pop a head gasket. Who's kit are you using???

probably this one or the other cheap kit listed, looks amusing if you can adjust nozzle sizes appropriately, a 2nd stage should be easy enough with a tee, another pressure switch, a solenoid and a 2nd nozzle

i just though of another way to toy with it with just one nozzle, tee in to the feed line a fuel pressure regulator and send excess pressure back to the tank and have a pressure switch trigger a solenoid to pinch off the regulator at a higher boost and sent the full pressure to the nozzle, depending on how well the nozzle works at a lower pressure and the natural pressure of the system would be the factor on how well this set up would work

I have been running a system for over four years, in fact my original system was bought on e-bay from Snow before he started his company. I changed the control to cooling mist as I liked it better and they have metal jets and parts that don't fall apart. If you live in the rust belt be careful where your pressure pump is mounted. I have a six gallon tank in the bed as it gets thirsty!

norcal, you probably have it figured out already, but you are most likely injecting too much into the intake and squelching the combustion event. Go with smaller nozzles, wait till 18psi or add more fuel!

I wanted to add that I just started running 50% Pure Methanol and 50% DI water
the difference is night and day, its much faster with that combo
